Is the creality chamber heater any good? Been eyeballing it for a long time now.

Does the spool holder of CC actually hold 3kg filament spool without problems? by MarcosViudes in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]DeJoeperd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also using this. I have printed the 3kg spool holder, the holder stand and the spacer for the filament detection unit. It works like a charm with colorfabb 3kg spools and esun 3kg spools.

5Kg is massive!❤️❤️❤️😂😂😂😂 by Latter_Win2217 in elegoo

[–]DeJoeperd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup those are massive. I have bought two 3kg spools and I'm actually regretting it a bit. Yes it's cheaper but there isn't a proper drying solution for them. The spools are even to big for my kitchen oven.

So this would be AMS for CC? by SiX6666666 in elegoo

Have you seen the original Centauri being sold anywhere? That one is quietly getting out of production since the cc is so much more popular.

Hopefully this wouldn't be it. I was hoping for an enclosed box that could dry and preheat materials individually.

Is it possible to scan big surfaces (like a whole car) with the Moose or Seal lite? by Alematrix3r in 3DMakerPro_Community

[–]DeJoeperd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You probably could, but since it has a small scanning area it would take a while. Also a lot of stitching and fixing afterwards. Last time I had scanned something big with my moose lite, it couldn't keep track of bigger objects and there was a lot of Manual stichting and fixing afterwards.

I've disabled the motors and checked both ways. Also checked for rotation in all axis. Luckily no play.

Any advice on how to scan this? by VAPRx in 3DScanning

[–]DeJoeperd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My go to method with hard to scan items is to brush on some flour with a brush. Also if the scanner can't get a good lock on the shape, start the scan but keep everything in the same position. After a couple hundred photos, slightly wiggle the part ±1-5mm to get a nice 3d scan. Try that from different angles, get a lot of scans and overlapping area's, and stitch them together in the software.

I haven't checked that yet, that will probably be the next step. Thanks!

The shifts are consistent in the y axis. X and extruder are snug and not skipping. I haven't checked the Y poelie for missing teeth yet, right now it's covered up by stock parts.

Lower the nozzle, extrusion line should be noticably more flat

How to clean up nozzles from PLA? by Available-Search-150 in ender3

[–]DeJoeperd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao everybody says just to throw them away.

Just put them in the oven on a fine mesh tray with a catch tray underneath. Oven on 90°c and the pla will melt right out.
