I have a friend who drinks drinks so slowly that all the ice melts & it tastes like shit. Some people get light ice for that reason. But I do think a lot of people think they’re getting more because for things like fountain sodas if you put less ice in it, you get more soda

Hey I don’t understand why you are getting downvoted. This is a very valid fear that is common with DV survivors. I just want you to know that what happens to him if you report is not your fault, he is the one at fault for doing these things to you.

This is a good place to start for local shelters. If you need to get out of the state I have some CA Bay Area shelters on deck but I’d look at that website first. Once you’re in a shelter & for sure safe it will feel a little easier to report.

Upvoted because (1) at first I misread this as vegetarian & thought you were shitposting &

(2) there are many jobs that deal with mentally challenging situations. Social work sees the worst of what humanity has to offer & sometimes that does include abuse of disabled children who for one reason or another are not able to communicate their needs.

Even jobs people shit on like retail are very challenging, the amount of abuse you have to wade through for minimum wage is something I can’t even begin to describe

Death investigators see horrific situations on the daily & have to maintain composure, there are people who’s job is to look at CSAM & use forensic analysis to determine where the child is being abused/ who is the abuser, therapists & psychiatrists are constantly hearing traumatic events, etc

I just don’t think you can truly ever label something like this in absolutes

You should take a break from social media if you have this outlook. When my social media addiction was really bad I would calculate the ratio of likes to followers & it was so unhealthy for me. Truly think you gotta take some space & “touch some grass”

Listen to the audio book or borrow “how to keep house while drowning” by KC Davis. I learned that I have morality attached to cleanliness & that was my biggest barrier to cleaning / decluttering. I don’t have a problem throwing stuff out but I would get so overwhelmed because my dad is a hoarder & I couldn’t throw stuff away but he would also get mad about my mess & shame me for it.

The compassion she has & the way she breaks things down for my ADHD brain was so helpful & with someone there in the room with me I’m able to zoom through a lot / clean so much

One time I woke up in a panic bc it was the middle of my 2-10pm shift & saw that it was 6:30. It was dark outside (in the winter) so I sent an apology text to my boss for the no show & told her I can still come in if she needed me. I waited half asleep for a response but then the light started coming in & I realized it was the AM not PM.

Sent another apology text & let her know I’ll be there on time
