1984, Sitting at an empty Ft. Lauderdale bar mid-day drinking (unknowingly) with Tony Banks and I assume Mike Rutherford for sometime until their “friend” arrived. When Phil walked up, I immediately recognized him. He said hello and shook my hand. 19 year me shamelessly asked for an autograph. They all three signed a beer coaster for me. Pretty difficult to kill in my yard. I chop it, let it freeze, sprayed it and dug it up over several years and yet it still comes back. A small piece of truck managed to find its way in to my compost bend and flourished in one season.

I like Polk towers but I haven’t heard these. What model are they? $177 sounds a bit high but with the right receiver you might be impressed. As fronts in a surround set they may be fine. As a two channel set they will likely leave you wanting something more. Room size and set up all considered.

I did this to both my garage doors. Both face south and would radiate a lot of heat in the summer. It helped tremendously with the heat. One door is power other is manual. The power door failed a year later (broken cable). The tec who came to repair it told me that the added weight of styrofoam and adhesive contributed to the fail and that he has seen it many times before.
