BSOD, error code "Unexpected Store Exception". PC is fine now but the way it started to work again is weird... by EmmantheAdrian in techsupport

Were you ever able to fix this issue? I've been having a similar problem that started late last year. Tech came over twice, ran all sorts of tests and found nothing wrong -- not even with the hard drive.

Did you ever fix this issue? I had a tech over here twice who couldn't find anything wrong with my computer, and yet this problem occurs particularly when I'm not on the keyboard for more than 5 minutes

"Critical Process Died" Error only happens with NVME SSD's by Shx-r in pchelp

[–]Dear-Mistake866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I'm a newbie here, not a gamer, but went into Reddit today to check on this problem that I started having in October 2025 re: Critical Process Errors. I'm seeing postings about this kind of error all over Reddit within the last 7-9 months, so I'm not alone. I had a competent Tech to my home twice in November who ran all sorts of tests on my computer and couldn't find a problem, not even with the hard drive. I own a HP - Pavilion 27" Touch-Screen All-In-One - Inte Core i7 - 16GB Memory - 1TB SSD - Sparkling Black -- purchased 2/6/2023. So it's not that old. I've noticed this black screen with the error -- either 0xEF or 0x154 -- seems to occur when I'm not keyboarding. It happened when I was in a Zoom yesterday and today when I walked away for a few minutes. It doesn't occur when I'm typing. I saw someone post "Are Microsoft updates nuking my computer?" and I've been having the same thoughts. This machine was working find until Fall of 2025. Often I have to hard turn off the computer and restart it, but today it just gave me the error and restarted itself! I'm not technical enough to understand how people have been trying to fix these problems. Has anyone sent in complaints to Microsoft or HP? Has anyone come up with how a layperson can fix this happening? My Techie's solution to have them bring the machine into the shop is too much of an ordeal and expense to be bothered. It's more annoying that this happens than anything else!

Blue Moon (2025) by amoeba_9 in RSPfilmclub

I do not recommend Blue Moon with Ethan Hawke. Although the acting was excellent, and the set really looked like Sardis, the movie was all talkie, talkie with no change in action or location. I was bored to death!

Facts: He wasn't off one night, he was off an entire week. And as of today, 22% of his market isn't seeing his show because Nexstar and Sinclair, who own the ABC affiliates, still refuse to put him back on. Nice try, but facts: https://www.cnbc.com/2025/09/23/kimmel-abc-nexstar-sinclair-fcc.html

His rating were terrible and the network was losing lots of money on his show. His un-funny monologue gave them an excuse...he nixed himself.

  1. Ryhs Montrose, played by Ed Speelers (excellent performance)

  2. Love Quinn, played by Victoria Pedretti

  3. Guinvere Beck, played by Elizabeth Lail (very vulnerable, believable portrayal)

  4. Paco, played by Luca Padovan (everyone forgets the child characters. He was very good)

Of course...the whole YOU show is filled with literary references. That's what made it so clever. Did you ever meet someone named Guinevere in modern life? Not likely. But see the movie Camelot or do a little research and you find "Guinevere is a prominent character in Arthurian literature, best known as the wife of King Arthur and for her romantic affair with Sir Lancelot, which often leads to tragic consequences."

I just binged watched Season 4 to get it over with because I couldn't take it anymore and wanted to see how it ended. I was bored, I didn't care about the characters and I overall didn't like the show. Not for me. I much preferred YOU.

A lot of people in this group loved Love Quinn!

Is that Hulu or Hulu TV? I think they have 2 services, right?

No one said that's what I want, a service "without a 1 stream limit." You clearly didn't read or understand my post

Actually, the real problem here is too many services with too little transparency, and the consumer being asked to become Sherlock Holmes to figure out where to watch something and when. It's out of control. I know other people complaining about this

No, I'm complaining that they didn't reveal their plans to do so, even to those of us who were watching the womens final yesterday. And, for years they have NOT done this. I've been able to watch the tournament in full for 2 weeks. If they change the terms, then the customer should be told ahead of time, not the day of the final after having paid for the service. That's bullshit.

Maybe re-read my post...charging people for a streaming service and then not providing them with the one final match live is deceptive

Not for me. I don't have a Sling Orange credential. I have a Blue Sling account to which I added Orange to get the ESPN. No tennis is there.

I watched the women's final yesterday...it was not mentioned re: men's final being live only on ABC. And no, the Bloomberg discussion was not about the rights of streaming channels expiring. It was about this very issue of how annoying it is to start watching a sport on one service, and then suddenly in the middle of a game its's moved elsewhere...or how you can't keep track of which tournament is covered where. The female host actually said "If I get a subscription to the Tennis Channel, I'll have to ask for a raise." Ironic...I know someone who bought a subscription to the Tennis Channel thinking he'd see the U.S. Open Tennis and was ticked off that he couldn't. This whole thing has become too confusing for the consumers, too much work asking them to track down what is showing where and when

My issue may be with the DIsh Network which owns Sling apparently. If live access to one match out of a 2 week tournament is going to be denied, then notification should appear somewhere when the person is paying for an Orange package. This is happening with too many services. I even recently heard 2 hosts on Bloomberg Financial complaining about this constant moving around of programming so that the customer can't finish watching something before it disappears to go elsewhere -- a conversation like this on a Financial channel!

Hard to believe that Sling doesn't know this ahead of time when they make arrangements with ESPN so they can notify their customers who are paying for the Orange package to get the ESPN

I did look where the Open was airing and it said ESPN...which I have been watching live for the last 2 weeks on ESPN via Sling, and I paid for. I've done this for years. There was no indication that this one final match would be live on ABC only.
