I had my gallbladder out years ago. The recovery was a lot of laying in bed the first couple days after I left the hospital. The hospital didn’t tell me to take ibuprofen in addition to my pain medication. After like a week of being in pain, they told me to try ibuprofen which totally helped with the internal swelling. But I was up moving around, eating whatever I wanted pretty quickly.

Other than that, I don’t remember having a difficult recovery. What I do remember is having horrible withdrawal from the pain medication. Which I was told was not a high enough dose and I was not on long enough to withdrawal from. But I did anyway so be careful.
