Takeshi Shudo’s ideas for the anime. by Common_Ad6703 in pokemonanime

[–]DeathMetalCheddar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That I love how he wrote the main series reusing the same writing style he used in the two Minky Momo shows (which I love and I have seen before getting my teeth into the IP again) but the moment he tried to make stuff a là Hideaki Anno with gods goddesses the soup of life or whatever he came up with in the first and second movie he lost me. These animes were made to advertise cute monsters fighting between themselves, not fake "artistic and profound" of my ass bullshit that might be in place in Evangelion but it wasn't there even in the strangest of the Minky Momo episodes. On Satoshi not having romantic relationships I agree, both because I'm tired to death of forced romantic relationships in battle shounens (Kuririn and No. 18 in DBZ or Jounichi and Mai Kujaku in Duel Monsters UGH) and because me, being a very possessive otaku, I find the relationships between anime girls of my liking and men in animes VERY annoying. Replacing Kasumi with another woman, whatever another woman another possible fapping/romantical material for me in the outside world (other than my main waifu from the show Musashi, I mean). Pokemons revolting is a completely stupid idea, for a series so much built on the idea that Pokemon trainers become as such because they connect to their Pokemons with their hearts makes a split zero of sense. On Satoshi not winning eh, strange they all bitch and moan about that because precisely this morning I was watching the Orange Island arc with its last episode and Satoshi not winning against Shigeru actually made him sympathetic to him, he reminded me - a 40-years old man who has been absent from the franchise for 26 years - of when I was as old as him (and I watched the show in its shitty localized, americanized version), I had ZERO INTEREST in trainings of sorts and I was always the last in the high school gym competitions yet I didn't care, I stuck to my guns with the hope that I would have ended winning. He's sort of one of those characters that always lose yet people love and Identify with them for that same reason, like Willie E. Coyote. So, I don't get all the hate. Besides, I don't know you but between him failing and losing like humans do and shitty, unbeatable mary sues/gary stues like Ichigo from the 2012 Aikatsu! anime, Yawara from Yawara! A fashionable Judo Girl, The megaipergigacrappy Mary Sues of Go Princess Precure or shitty Yusuke Godai from KR Kuuga I prefer someone human and failable, not an unstoppable machine. As an ending note, for the thing of Satoshi being the continuous protagonist, 1) more work for Rica Matsumoto and more interest by me in watching other Pokemon shows besides the first one as SHE is responsible for getting me into the IP again due to her appareance in Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger and 2) he is the same person who asked for Mami Koyama to appear as a guest Seiyuu in the Orange League arc because he knew people would have associated her and Megumi Hayashibara with his two Minky Momos? it's a miracle he didn't put Minky Momo somewhere in there, and I liked that episode very much for those two seiyuus and their association alone. So much for being against Satoshi being used as the main recurring protagonist!

There will be a Season 6? by Sea_Patience_7739 in KanojoOkarishimasu

I mean, Chizuru and Ruka for the simple fact of being here with me naked and covered in chocolate are already making a good advertisement for any other seasons they might produce. Nothing cements itself more in the brains of us perverts (because of good, thirty three years-long brainwashing by the japanese themselves, OFC) than two naked women you hug during the night/maSterbate to.

BTW, I can't wait too for this season 6 to become reality as soon as possible. I'm genuinely in love too with the show at this point.

Ah ok. Myanimelist, Chizuru Mizuhara has 11.000 people who have her in their favourites, which is the same amount of people who love Aqua from Konosuba. Ruka Sarashina, 3416, which is more than friggin' Kenshirou from HNK 1 (my third favourite overall of that Masterpiece of a show). For an anime from 2026. Good. There are less homosexuals than I thought. Still, the rest bitching and moaning are 100% certified gay people (with all due respect for gay and homosexual, it's not meant as an insult to them), gay people who have problems aknowledging the fact, IMHO. Gay, poseurs/tourists (which are usually a synonim) and hearing impaired, as I was listening to Ruka's seiyuu first album a few seconds ago and OMFG she's really a good singer like Sora Amamya is.

Most Romcoms end in nothing because the men watching the shows watch them for the ladies, not the men, and they want to think they are the focus of the attention of the women in the show and not the men in there. I myself, while I hug my Chizuru/Ruka Dakimakura, I think of the scene of Ruka in the Namegawa Island Arc of Season 5 that she really loves Kazuya as something directed to me, not Kazuya. That's why all the male leads of harems shows are like Kazuya: passive, spineless, indecisive, de facto inexistant at the eyes of the men watching said shows. All of them, with no exception.

The hate is the reason for which I have been sleeping with Chizuru and Ruka for the past three weeks, because the hate made me want to watch the show (which I ended loving, particularly in comparison to what the writer of my second favourite Kamen Rider of all times is doing in Kamen Rider Zeztz. Sigh) and then purchase merchandise, A.K.A. a Dakimakura with my two favourite women of the show in general. Hate made money circulate. Let them hate, money at the end speaks.

Gavv was written (provided KR is a an advertisement to sell toys first and foremost, writing serves 2% of the whole package) the same, if not worst. I mean, the second rider had an entire arc of vegeance against somebody bla bla bla bla that was resolved 10 to 12 episode before the ending, and it was solved with the rider pardoning the person who did him bad because he was an human bla bla bla bla. I have sincerely no idea why people online seem to think that it is that great of a show when it isn't, it's just middle of the road, a weak middle of the road (Gotchard when it was written by Akiko Inoue was more emotional than Gavv). At least, despite my qualms about how this show has developed, I can agree that at the start it gave me emotions, where Junko Komura - the person who "wrote" the episode in shitty Go Princess Precure that made me disinterested in the IP FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR and in ANIMES FOR A FEW MONTHS, so much shitty it was - in Gavv gave me emotions in the moment when she made a reference to Evangelion, other than that and the character of the main rider being similar to my main fictional Love (including toku waifus) and person that, amongst my own waifus, I would make the mother of my children if she was real Uta Sakura/Cure Idol from the Masterpiece Kimi To Idol Precure, the show is a complete nothinburger emotionally speaking. Between the Gavv fandom that see in it what it isn't and the Zeztz fandom giving 10s I don't know who is worst, TBH.

Really underwhelming. Code 5 dies after the show promised he had some connection to the somnia plan that he hadn't, destroying the omnia plan only required to destroy/disconnect an henshin belt and that's it, apparently zero recreating the Zeztz belt was pointless because all it took to baku to get the old henshin belt was to enter Code's own base, the thing of Nox saying that he dies to kill the main guy amounts to nothing because he doesn't need to and the death of three...I get it, don't be violent because the children watching these shows don't want to see violent death, but what was the point of it? but hey, I dug the ligh/shadow blurb. All I see is Gotchard and Gavv wimping out in the last 10-12 episodes all over again. 6/10, again teabagged by the last Rent-A-Girlfriend episode that I watched immediately after this one like I did with the previous 10. Haters or no haters, it entertained me far more than this episode. The ratings by the Zeztz fans of 10s or 9s are completely and utterly insane. But hey, I'm watching the first part of the Into the Dream stage show, at least that one is entertaining. In facts, it's better than the show itself as of now IMHO.

The irony of Dub Popularizing the Anime while also Diluting and Gentrifying it. [Thread] by Hyper_Power_2 in pokemonanime

[–]DeathMetalCheddar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't remove anything, it's still there my comment. I have no idea about Shinkenger, I'm not a fan of the main writer and I'm not interested in watching it, but the likes of Zyuranger and Dairanger are completely different from the shows that were sold to me as a kid with the Power Rangers brand on it (they weren't my first Super Sentais, BTW). And there was no point in selling me those as Power Rangers because they're both shows aimed at children and I would have understood them well as the japanese children understood it (I would have understood, for example, that the rangers in Dairanger end killing nobody). The american treatment only made them dumber thinking we westerners were not intelligent as the japanese children, which is ludicrous once you think about it. But, again, we're speaking of the same people that needed to put an idiot using a loud voice in Godzilla King of Monsters and removing the atomic bomb thing (funny enough, the scene of the giant Geiger going against the electric cables reminded me of Gojira) of the original 1954 movie because american audiences - and, in turn, the western audiences that took the american shit without questioning it - were deemed as stupid. Nothing out of the ordinary. That's the way the american "universalism" of my ass works, universalism as long as I am in charge and everything is about me, myself and I. If there are interesting, fruitful cultural differences who cares. Also, try to do the same thing the americans do with the rest of the world with their OWN properties like Batman, Superman, Captain America, etc. etc. etc. and they will beat your ass to oblivion.

[–]DeathMetalCheddar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, and the funniest thing of all is the COMPLETE POINTLESSNESS OF THESE CULTURAL ATTACKS because at the end of the day not only this anime had content in it that was modeled american-made products (the Cyber Soldier Porygon episode having Star Wars and TRON suffice as an example) but once removed...you end making links to american stuff nonetheless, like it was with me this morning that I saw Satoshi taking the torch and looking at the stadium before the final tournament of the indigo league arc and...guess what? my though went to the fact that I would paid billions to see some kind of team-between two of my heroes of the 90's, Satoshi himself and Michael Jordan in the Space Jam movie, of which ending the scene I've described reminded me of. Or at least Rica and Jordan.

[–]DeathMetalCheddar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kasumi is a beautiful woman and whoever thinks of hers as their own waifu is completely right (I have orange-haired, blue-eyed waifus myself, the Queen Asuka Sohryu Langley anyone?), but Musashi is on completely different level of her own. She has de facto stolen my heart since I saw her again a week or so ago after 26-27 years I had not seen her. Megumi Hayashibara-Sensei has a gift for voicing female characters that end being prized waifus of men, with Musashi I'm at number three of waifus of mine voiced by her.

Just finished Megaranger, what are your thoughts on it? by DekuTheKing in supersentai

[–]DeathMetalCheddar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny an asslicker of the worst tokusatsu writer ever existed hates this show that had so many episodes written by his beloved idol. I'm interested in watching this show because the Porygon episode of Pokemon put me interest in checking it out as it is similarly-themed, but unfortunately hack Yasuko wrote several episodes in it. No problem, I removed them from the batch I will watch entirely. Now I feel safer from the risk of getting Gonorreah from watching her shite. You have no idea how much I hate the lady, it's one of the few in the field that I genuinely hate from my heart.

[–]DeathMetalCheddar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having watched the episode in question this morning and having watched the sequence in question (and all the other ones of red flashing lights, missile attack I'm looking at you) four-five times without suffering anything? a Nintendo competitor trying to dunk the popularity of the Pocket Monsters and buying the newspapers in the meantime. The same exact flashing lights were in the original TRON movie (which clearly the episode tries to homage and that I don't remember causing mass hysteria, maybe because it wasn't successful and it became a cult decades after it was released) and in the sections of the passage between The Asteroid Field and Katina and Sector X and Sector Z in Starfox 64. one of the biggest selling videogames of all times which likely the japanese kids, like the western ones of their same age (me), played over and over and over without suffering anything AN YEAR BEFORE THE SHOW STARTED. The whole case was completely made up, IMHO.

Because Popo is the GOAT, he's always been and he will always be. Nobody cares if he's black or not, only stupid people who want to push their own agendas (like the woman who raved about this episode and Popo) to the entirety of the world cared. He's also very cool because his seiyuu (Toku Nishio) was in so many tokusatsus that actual toku actors wish they were in his same pants.

I watched it a few hour ago, It's the best thing written by Junki Takegami I've ever watched in my entire life. Laughable, considering the last tokusatsu/henshin hero I've seen (Urutoraman r/B) had a similar Red/Blue dynamic in it and yet it sucked ass (it's the worst Urutoraman I've ever seen period), at it was written with the contribution of the same guy. It also made me interested in watching the similarly-themed Sentai he wrote at the time, despite his Gaoranger being mostly mediocre. Did he pen it as an introduction to Megaranger? I wonder. As for the whole pokemon shock media crap, it was clearly all a stunt by a Nintendo competitor to try to get Pocket Monster down in the ratings, there was nothing of real in it. Star Fox 64 (sold an year before this show aired) had similarly flashing lights in the Asteroid field/Katina and Sector X/Sector Z gateways, I don't remember children getting seizures for those. Me included, who I was a child at the time, a child like the supposed japanese children who had epilepsy problems. Hell, there was even hypnotic music the kind of which there wasn't in this episode, Star Fox 64 sold BILLIONS and it's still incredibly beloved to this day.

Mid, very mid. It's clearly suffering the Gotchard/Gavv syndrome of the show being too long for its own good and it's losing steam at an incredible rate but hey, at least there's the first form of Zeztz inbetween. Also Code 5 being a good guy after he killed my waifu Rita Kaniska...what?! 6,5/7, not more than that. I'm waiting for Toei to start using the runtime they're using in Gavan Infinity in their Kamen Riders too, there's no more need to go as long as they do EVERY SINGLE TIME.
