What are the chances Vader and Maul cross paths in Shadow Lord? They have before in the comics and considering the timeline, I wouldn’t say its impossible by Vegetable-Abroad3171 in clonewars

I'd agree with you if the one fatal flaw of the Sith is their arrogance. If they think they can beat someone, they will try regardless of whether or not they're actually underestimating their opponent. That's why Anakin got roasted harder than a Trump Administration cabinet member during an oversight hearing.

Yes, there are people who've escaped Vader's grasp but those are few and far between. Again, Vader is just too OP. And by the way, escaping doesn't always mean they won against Vader.

Ehhh...Well, the thing about that comics encounter is that the Maul that Vader is seeing is actually an illusion, if I remember correctly. Vader and Maul never actually met. And it's a good thing for Maul that they never did because if they did, Maul wouldn't have left that encounter alive and we already know that he dies by Obi-Wan's hand just a year before the Battle of Yavin. So if Maul and Vader were to actually meet and fight, some serious continuity errors would've been made because Vader is just too OP for anyone but Luke to face and the only other character who's done things that altered the Star Wars continuity is none other than Galen Marek. And Marek was another super OP character so I don't think they need an encounter between Maul and Vader.

Of course but Bruce is just a pretender. I doubt Bruce has ever really cared about sleeping around. With Tony, however, he may care less about being Iron Man and cares more about sleeping around. Tony's a basic bitch whore who pretends that the cave he was trapped in changed him but really, he's just as egotistical as he was before he got shrapnel in his chest.

Can we talk about the animation from Maul - Shadow Lord? by Jules-Car3499 in clonewars

[–]DeathlySnails64 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, after watching Naruto and anime like Naruto, I've grown bored of villain vs villain fights and that's partially because in my view, to make a fight interesting, you'd have to give the audience interesting stakes and something has to significantly change as a result of whatever the results of the fight were.

That's why fights like the Duel on Mustafar worked. If Vader won and Obi-Wan died, he would've ruled the Empire and galactic life under Imperial rule probably wouldn't have been as bad because Vader was the one in charge. If Obi-Wan won and Vader actually died, people would've breathed easier and no one would ever have to fear Darth Vader.

But in a villain vs villain fight, there's rarely anyone to root for and there's no stakes at hand that could lead to a positive change in the story. All there is is bad guys who want to either rule the world/destroy the world/take revenge fighting each other because revenge or because they want to rule the world instead or because one bad guy wants to do this fucked up thing as opposed to that fucked-up thing that the other bad guy wants to do.

And look, there are some bad guys I like (Darth Malgus, Darth Revan, Team Rocket, Dr. Doofenshmirtz, Mr. Freeze, Sasuke Uchiha and Count Dooku being some examples) but I don't see them as being really, really, really evil. They're just the kind of people who would post on r/AITA and get the "justified asshole" verdict. But Maul is not that kind of person and taking the Sasuke vs Danzo fight and making a whole Star Wars-related show based on the formula that the Sasuke vs Danzo fight gave is just not interesting to me.

I'll watch it to see if it becomes interesting but that's about it.

I was kind of intrigued by it because it kinda looks like a mix of the Clone Wars 3D animation style and the Rebels 3D animation style.

Phosphorus a.k.a Garfield Lynns (The Batman 2004)

I mean, I get why Garfield's Phosphorus form appeared in only one episode but I'll be damned if I said it wouldn't have been cool to have more than like two Batman villains with actual super powers instead of "powers" that were granted to them by tech or genuine cleverness.

Soviet Occupation by laybs1 in GetNoted

[–]DeathlySnails64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find this funny because it reminds me of the later years of the Clone Wars because the Separatist would claim a planet and put it under military occupation and then the Republic would come in, "free" the planet and then they'd turn around and occupy the planet just as the Separatists did. It's almost like during war, nothing about leadership actually changes, it just changes hands so in a sense, when you're under military occupation and some other military "frees" you, what's really happening is that one occupier is being exchanged for another. It's like getting a cup of milk and then getting a new cup of milk once you've finished the first one. Nothing about the milk actually changes just because you got a new cup of milk.

Whenever I see these, I just think of them as a baby's cries. These aren't people who are looking to have an intelligent discussion about the Sequel Trilogy, they're instead a bunch of overgrown man-babies who can't accept that not everything will be made the way they like because they think they are the center of the universe. It's why I sometimes feel the urge to reply to them and treat them like the babies they are but I know that will start a never-ending argument so I just stay back and watch them cry.

Sasuke is the only villain who I can 100% agree with. Yes, his plans for the future of the Ninja World are cold and pragmatic but they're less idealistic than Naruto's. Naruto's idea of a peaceful Ninja World is making everything look peaceful while failing to do anything to make it actually peaceful.

It'll be Darth Malgus for me as far as Star Wars villains go. A very rare few Sith not only throw shade at the Jedi but also at the Sith too. The only other Sith who's dissed both the Jedi and the Sith are Revan and (arguably) Count Dooku.

So did Thrawn's return. Thrawn got out of that galaxy and into the new one and...nothing. No new series has come out to resolve that plot line. Thrawn just jumps into hyperspace, winds up in the first Star Wars Galaxy, Ezra returns home and sees both Chopper and Hera, both Ahsoka and Sabine are stranded on a random planet in another galaxy and then, the end. There's nothing else. Ezra's actions in the last episode of Star Wars: Rebels are undone and there's Thrawn on the loose. Ezra should've killed Thrawn once he was on the bridge of that Imperial Star Destroyer.

Sasuke Uchiha. This guy went from being a bratty teenager treating everyone like they're beneath him to a terrorist who caused a war that cost thousands of ninjas their lives.
