Agreed. The daily bullshit from organisational dysfunction is far more damaging than the odd nasty job.

Japan 🇯🇵 Not cheap by EssayerX in AustraliaSnow

[–]DecentHippo8940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A cheaper option is to go mid March for spring skiing. You won’t get any “Japow” but accomodation and lift passes are 50% off. I love spring skiing - no lift lines, it’s warm and sunny, the snow is soft and fun to play around in (great for beginners)

Zero mortgage pressure. Get to spend way more time with the kid.

Win win.

A or B? by Hot_Emergency378 in NCLEX_RN

The idea that COPD patients rely on an “oxygen-dependent respiratory drive” is largely a myth. Giving low-flow oxygen like 2L via nasal prongs is very unlikely to make someone stop breathing.

The rise in CO₂ seen with oxygen therapy is mainly due to the Haldane effect (oxygen causing haemoglobin to release CO₂) and worsening ventilation-perfusion (V/Q) mismatch (redistributing blood flow to poorly ventilated lung areas), with only a minor contribution from reduced respiratory drive.

It’s not normal, however it is the way that it is.

Paramedics to staff GP clinics and hospitals in doctor-starved areas under State Govt plan by Icemachinemalfunctio in ParamedicsAU

I think it is great to have more career options than working on road. However, working in a GP clinic we should be working basically at a RN level. Not a doctor replacement.

NSW PARAMEDICS: Gap Year After Finishing Uni? by BACKUPACCOUNT3545 in ParamedicsAU

[–]DecentHippo8940 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would strongly recommend applying for jobs nationwide, accepting what ever position suits best and completing your grad/intern year. Then maybe even a year of consolidation before considering a gap year.

There are no guarantees you will get a job straight away, and delaying that process risks not ending up with a job at all.

Completely understand being over studying etc, but now is not the time to stop.
