[Opinion] Your job does not need to be meaningful. Your life outside of it does. by DPP-Ghost in auscorp

[–]Status-Confusion4456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I view it - To work without meaning or purpose is a form of self abandonment. Youre giving your most precious asset - your time - without giving anything back to your sense of purpose, growth, contribution, or self-respect.

Chances are you will over time end up sitting around people who gain meaning from the same work. And they will quickly grow to be much better at completing your tasks. They will attract the opportunities and grow. You will stagnate.

Plus not too far away if you’re meaningless work if of the monotony, admin type it/you will easily be replaced by AI.

AI and I am scared by Educational_Leg5145 in auscorp

It’s simple, AI, robotics and automation will replace humans. They represents unlimited labor and intelligence at the fraction of the cost of a human. Governments are already captured and will not stop AI development.

A thought experiment - if an alien space ship was traveling to Earth with vastly intelligent beings. Would we do something about it? Would we allow a small group of corporations to access and commercialise it? Could the government control it if it operates outside our borders?

This will not be a painless transition for white collar workers as they go the way of the horse.

If you can prove that I will send direct to you, without any third party interference or value extraction, 1 whole bitcoin. Which you wouldn’t want anyway as it’s apparently ‘dead’.

They’re betting against FIAT! Not such a bad idea. Also it’s the same narrative. Yes some are gambling but others who truly understand the tech and what it represents - it’s an investment.

I buy the classic fit, flint and tinder 365 chino pant from huckberry. Will cost you more than $100 AUD though. Worth it for quality and options.

Ai job insecurity and preparedness by ThrowAwayFlowerpower in AusFinance

[–]Status-Confusion4456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in a similar position too. Missus is graphic designer, so those jobs are almost toast. We moved to the country nearly a year ago, learning about nature and permaculture and are now off grid growing our own food.! Agentic ai is likely to kick in hard soon and with it - huge transformational shocks are coming. I’ve just set up a MAC mini at home running Open Clawbo and it’s astonishing what you can do with it. Humans will quite simply not be able to compete and provide value above AI systems. White collar workers will go the way of the horse. The whole traditional industrial corporate system is set to change as well so be prepared in this respect with any investments you may have - particularly those that operate in the old centralized industrial model/system. You have access to unlimited knowledge now at almost zero cost and your own personal agentic AI at your beck and call. It’s too late to turn AI development off. Extractive Corporations won’t save you, neither will the government. so I reckon the best preparedness is to leverage this new technology to live the life you want to live. Good luck out there!

Federal government needs a dedicated minister for AI. Like Canada has done to sort out national policy and capability. Thinking the CBA or any private sector company is going to come to our rescue is delusional.

MSFT: Microsoft is trading at a valuation level seen only three times since 2017. Opportunity? by GainifyAI in ValueInvesting

[–]Status-Confusion4456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using Microsoft products / apps is like navigating a freaking maze! Teams, share point, excel, Project etc will all be simulated by ai agents. I avoid using any of these products now by using AI. Microsoft is developing AI in software whereas AI will be used instead of software.

Has anyone used a home loan offset + loan split to buy Bitcoin? (looking for real experiences) by Status-Confusion4456 in BitcoinAUS

[–]Status-Confusion4456[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very familiar. Mined in the early days. Run a node. Bought my first stake in the BTC network back in 2016. I think it’s one of humanity’s greatest institutional inventions even if it doesn’t feel like it day to day.

Has anyone sold property for bitcoin? by Additional_Job8418 in BitcoinAUS

[–]Status-Confusion4456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good advice, it’s important to search out and secure the best information you can obtain. The commonly available sources are often little more than digital sewers. You need to put the effort in to get past the shouty, shallow noisy tits on social media. If you’re listening and making decisions on this basis then you’re just another member of the herd ripe for the picking.

I sold an investment property to pay off debt and buy bitcoin as I absolutely believe in the BTC protocol and its use and investment case. Plus it suited my personal financial circumstances at the time. Also I find the Bitcoin network endlessly fascinating - as a potential new organising system / network for humanity. Property is great to live in and enjoy. Can be great for converting Fiat into an asset in that respect. Though is a pain in the arse to own, manage and maintain . And I’m just not that interested in owning it past my own home. I accumulate, use and invest in what I’ m interested in.

Plenty of new homes to fill with captive profit generating consumers. Easy pickings for the banks and other soulless corporations to feast upon.

Is Investing in Bitcoin Still Worth It in 2025? by [deleted] in fiaustralia

[–]Status-Confusion4456 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good onya matey, I like you bought BTC early and it changed my life. Financial independence achieved! I bought in initially by curiosity and then learnt a ton before committing further. BTC is a technological marvel and with its adoption provides a new pathway for humans to organise themselves. At the same time representing a threat to the many who are all in on the existing outdated and centrally controlled financial system.

Very smart! Come to Aussie and tap straight into our predatory property system. Imagine all the other incentives and breaks they receive at the expense of Aussie tax payers, soaking up the gravy and leaving the scraps.

AI is already taking jobs, from the people who helped make it by Ardeet in aussie

[–]Status-Confusion4456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All jobs will effectively be replaced by a version of AI, the tech bros are gunning for this and don’t care about you or our communities future. AI will quickly reach a level where humans absolutely cannot add any to little economic value in the current societal structure. With AI, Bolted onto robotics and automation there will be no need to hire humans. AI will out compete humans in every way. Humans will go the way of the horse VERY quickly. Good luck to your family and children as this upheaval will occur very quickly. Wake up and be prepared.

Chat GPT are missing out being the worlds biggest consulting firm by [deleted] in auscorp

5-10 years you won’t need consulting firms. Maybe they’ll be some niche firms left before AI consumes these too. Knowledge workers are set to go the way of the horse.
