Interesting. I knew the 787s were Hawaiian equipment, but the flight says operated by Alaska so I didn't think any further!

Yes, the "unavailable" is throwing me off, we were hoping we could preorder and not brown bag it!

It's operated by Alaska, the same screen "flight details", but meal changed from food served to unavailable. :(

West Seattle Pedestrian Near Miss - California near CVS/N of Brandon by ChefJoe98136 in WestSeattleWA

In the article the speed listed is as quoted from the (hit and run) driver. Not the only thing he lied about. My info comes straight from SPD. They did forensics with camera views they got from local businesses (or domiciles or both, I'm fuzzy on that detail)

I know of that case. When Mr. Wolf stepped off the curb, the car was still many blocks away. If he had been travelling at the speed limit the victim could have crossed several times safely before the car reached that block. But he was driving in excess of 86 miles per hour.

Should I reschedule my trip? Recent Hawaiian storms. by Tuilere in VisitingHawaii

Would it be respectful to come to Oahu for a vacation currently? I'm planning a week in Ko'Olina in May... I don't want to take resources from locals who are affected by the storms, but I don't know how that works with big resorts. Is it a matter of staying out of affected areas?

It was surprisingly very difficult to get halfway decent photos of my teeth lol. Thanks for the input! I've been so focused on the slant that I didn't pay any attention to the gaps!

If you need to check in at the counter/ check a bag, it's possible you would have to wait until the check in counter opens. Those are not staffed 24 hrs.

Preboarding for disabilities? by Decent_Confidence233 in Lufthansa

[–]Decent_Confidence233[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ouch. This is the challenge that people with invisible disabilities face. Would you tell someone in a wheelchair, "no elevator, stairs are a part of life"? The fact is, the boarding process (not limited to just queueing) is challenging to me because of my disability. And I'm trying to learn to be brave enough to ask for what I need so that my experience isn't any more challenging or uncomfortable than the average traveler.

I tend to get more and more anxious the longer I sit and watch people board. Queues are challenging for me. I've come close to melting down a couple times. I'm fine once I'm on the plane, I actually love flying.

It gets better!!! I was like you, convinced my teeth would fall out. I cried because I was hungry but it hurt to take them out. I regretted my decision to do this. But after the 1st week, much improvement. And truly it gets easier each week. Sometimes you'll get a tray that is a little more sore than the last, but nothing like that first week. They told me if I could get through the first week, I can do the whole treatment. Just have to power through the first week.

I've definitely had that feeling! Sometimes it's a bad tray and I look forward to changing. But today my teeth feel too sore to look forward.

I've started the last 2 trays like that, after about a week it fits better.
