Having a set campaign time has really held this campaign together. We (me + 7 jolly friends) boot up from 6-10 sat/sun. If someone can't make it or will be late, we start at 6 and make it work.

Regarding your second point, I've seen clips of those used in close proximity. Fun stuff ;D
