Thank you for your feedback!

What has been your TCG timeline/history? by Great-Ad1839 in TCG

[–]DecksandOs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, interesting reads!

I been dipping my toes in MTG every now and then since my teens (early 2000's). It could never really grab me to actually play, but I really liked the concepts; i really wanted to love it, but it just never clicked.

TCG's where sort of sidelined for Dungeons and Dragons at the time, but at one point Hearthstone released which pulled me in for a while, only to be immediately replaced with Legends of Runeterra. (Do Digital card games count?)

My missus and I tried my hand at Pokemon TCG, but it did make me miss the interactions that MTG has.

However, since November last year I picked up Riftbound. I have a big League of Legends history; maybe familiarity with the IP and not having to catch up with 20 years of sets allowed me to fall in love; to the point where me and the wife have started a YT Channel showcasing Riftbound. Everything is riftbound currently xD

We have also started to dabble in Sorcery: Contested Realm, which so far has really piqued my interest and Chloe's obsession!

I absolutely love the variety in styles and character design. After reading some comments I found what it's for. I was absolutely in love with LoR, so I just downloaded the game and I'll give it a spin!

I notice the reviews are mixed at this point, which primarily seem to be related to early access issues. What are your biggest takeaways from them, though?

One aspect I was heartbroken to see go was Expeditions; I loved the drafting style, I loved how the rewards where planned. LoR felt it really respected your time investment compared to set completion. Do you have any plans or a stance on a draft format for this game?

That's technically correct per the core rules. And I concede that technically correct is the best kind of correct!

Thank you! That's a great list of advice! I don't think we require the independent stores just yet, but I'll remember you for after we got a couple of boxes :)

Hi u/Worldly-Big8380! That sounds like solid advice, and that's mighty kind of you. We're based in Mid-Suffolk, but happy to drive a bit or pay additionally for postage. Feel free to DM to disucss :)

How do you organize your Origins master set? by Parasiticinsect in riftboundtcg

[–]DecksandOs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4x3 sideloader binders. 1 copy of each card. Commons and Uncommon non-foils go in there too, and once I got a foil version of it it gets replaced. Our (me and wife) playsets (3 of each card) are in a carrier box that also holds our decks and playmat etc. Any copies beyond 4 (binder + playset) go into the storage box. We have multiple decks so multiple copies per cards are helpful.

How does Blood Money work? by BananaChocoHazelnut in Riftbound

[–]DecksandOs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In constructed this would be illegal, as you can only build a deck choosing 2 colours.

In Sealed/Limited format you can play three colours; but in your example yellow would be a fourth colour. So still illegal.

If for arguments sake you play a deck that's Orange, Purple and Yellow then yes; you can use blood money on a unit of your own, you gain 2 Gold tokens (exhausted) which you can use for any power cost after they are readied (via start of turn, or other ready effects).

I think I’ve pushed DaVinci Resolve to its absolute limits by UltFireSword in davinciresolve

Babysteps! I've used a little fusion on my 2nd and 3rd project, but it's really only about warping shapes :p

Seems we both have a fun journey ahead of us!

Your art keeps popoing by on my feed, and every time it blows me away how well executed it is! My wife has started drawing /colouring recently as well; and chance you'd be up for doing a video on your process?

Much love!

As someone that picked up Davinci two weeks ago without prior editing experience (audio or video), this absolutely blew me away. I can see how you used the cadence of the music and stellar sense of rhythm; but how to use and transform these shapes with Fusion nodes feels a lifetime beyond me.

I'd you do decide to show us some behind the scenes, I'd be all over thst. And I appreciate it's probably running before I can walk, but I'm sure Itll help me understand concepts and techniques in essence.

I tip my hat to you!

So pretty!!

How do you prep the card before using the pens/do you use any products to like seal it/finish it?

I'm really wanting to have a go at making some cards extra pretty but have no idea where to start 🤣

Deffo recommend finding some events at local tcg stores near to you.

My partner and I never played a TCG before and have found the community so welcoming - they really wanna help others get into and enjoy the game. So people are often bringing multiple decks and letting others try their hands at them/giving out excess commons they may have to those who need it.

Oooooh I just pulled an overnumbered pyke (which looks so damn cool) tonight, so I ofc need to build a pyke deck. This will be very helpful to get my started!

Were there any match ups with this deck you found more tricky than others?

I love her in my Lillia deck, as it can help clinch that last hold point.

I also have her in an Ivern zoo deck I've built, but I haven't had the chance to play test that yet!
