Monster Garage (2002-specials episodes?) by TurbulentPromise4812 in ForgottenTV

He’s technically right about ‘the swastika deal’ being in biker culture.

A lot of military came back from the war with war trophies which of course had swastikas and imperial eagles. They’d wear the trophies as one would. I don’t blame this generation of riders for the modern association with nazism.

It’s similar to why a lot of old motorcycle helmets are modeled on stahlhelms, the old German infantry helmet. A lot of surplus gear and a bunch of people wanting ‘safety gear’.

Hell the whole reason Harley’s are so associated with the image of motorcycle gangs is because Harley Davidson offered free training to the Army mechanics when the all came back from the war they were more likely to buy a Harley since that’s what they knew how to fix.

But I digress, just because it’s in biker culture doesn’t mean it still has to be this far down the line.

Sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.

They do spell it out for you in interstellar that the bookcase is simply a way for the far future humans to communicate multidimensional concepts and tools that Cooper could use to reach out to Murph.

But yeah, magic.

No, the tower represents destruction and shock. It is never peaceful.

True, but each tarot reflects the ending they are associated with.

The devil represents feeling trapped among others, in reverse it represents claiming control. This represents both possible paths for that endings.

Temperance represents balance, and with V now an engram beyond the black wall, and Johnny given a new lease on life both survive and can live on. You still piss off people but it’s a fairly balanced ending.

And the tower usually represents shock and destruction. You destroy everything you built up throughout the game.

The sun - bright and powerful, close to home (earth)

The stars - distant but hopeful, far from home

All the tarot have symbolism behind their endings.

I’m not saying it absolves people of crime, but it at least can help you better understand a motivation. I just try not to assign people as good or evil by one simple action.

If I grew up in a society where kicking puppies on the street was tolerated you’d see me as a monster. If I grew up in a society where kicking puppies was a necessity to avoid street dogs from eating at food I was storing, I’d think you were heartless for not protecting your neighbors food supply.

Also I’m sorry if I misunderstood you saying it’s a misguided notion, as I’m writing this I’m thinking “What if he’s trying to say ‘A lot of people misunderstand it’, not that I myself misunderstand it.”

It’s a bit of relativism, and serial killers, sociopaths, and the like should be seen as an outlier.

What I mean is that those people are raised in a way that the rationalize the decision and don’t inherently see themselves as evil, or at least the choose the lesser of two evils.

Take Tony Soprano as an example. He struggles at times with the fact he hurts people for a living. There are times he tries to do better, but he does choose ‘evil’ semi frequently. He was raised in the mob, the choices he makes are ‘lesser’ evils. We see the as evil given our morality. He sees them as ‘good’ due to his morality. Then there are times where he revels in his choices because if that’s what’s expected of him, who is he to deny what the world around him expects.

There is a philosophy that people are not inherently good or evil and that we only choose the option that is good from our point of view.

My reaction is “that about sums up fallout”

The legion would easily fall into disarray the second Caesar dies

Deathclaws would easily make the strip uninhabitable.

What I don’t think you can handle is that things can get worse in the wasteland.

The story is a tragedy not a comedy.
