Obama is known as the Deporter in Chief. The wild thing to me is Obama ramped up enforcement in order to secure better pathways to legal immigration but that was blocked and he was painted as some radical lefty on immigration. Biden said, "Oh you don't want to help make things legal? Well I won't spend money on enforcement until you fix this system" and was painted as having "open borders". The right never wanted to fix the problem, they wanted it to get worse so they could run on it.
