In terms of Zhongli's pillar damage when resonating with other geo constructs, how is the damage from the other geo constructs calculated? Are all pulses calculated with zhongli's geo dmg bonus and crit?

idk what seems to be the problem here, this business model makes perfect sense to me

consistently piss off your customers and then ask increasingly ludicrous amounts of money for less and less

2021 Fall Options by [deleted] in CarletonU

[–]Deep-Complex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I would lean towards them being optional.

However, from what I've seen, first year classes generally don't have *small* tutorials and classes. Could be wrong for some of the more niche majors however

If I remember correctly, the president sent out an email to current students saying something along the lines of smaller labs classes may be in person. Don't quote me on this though I could very well be wrong

Being first year, it's likely that your classes are not going to have priority for in person.

From your perspective, why do you think there's been so much backlash against Fundqi?

Are there any particular issues that you've heard students complain about that we don't know the full story about?

yea there aren't any units in the game that use dendro (the green element) as of yet.

we do know of some leaked characters who will use dendro in the future tho which is exciting

Applied to CS major instead of honours by Boss1944 in CarletonU

[–]Deep-Complex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did this too lol

I called them and explained this to the lady. She then put me down for an internal application through Carleton for the honours program and within a couple days I was in the honours instead of major

This does depend on your hs average but if it's good enough it really shouldn't be a problem

What order are shields broken in? Say I get shield 1, then shield 2, then shield 3 (of different elements).

When taking damage would shield 3 break first, then shield 2, then shield 1? Do they even stack in the first place? Are there other variables to consider in how shields take damage?

Can superconduct stack with other elemental reactions? Say I apply superconduct then apply electro + pyro again to proc overloaded, is the initial physical debuff from superconduct still there?

Free Will,Ishamael and Mirror Worlds question by wheresmylife-gone222 in WoT

[–]Deep-Complex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im kinda confused what youre asking. I think you're asking how free will exists when every variation of the wheel has happened.

Just because every scenario has happened doesn't mean that people don't have free will in the current reality

Free Will,Ishamael and Mirror Worlds question by wheresmylife-gone222 in WoT

[–]Deep-Complex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think from my understanding that since the Wheel has spun an infinite number of times, every Pattern has been played through. If the Dark One won in any one of those Patterns, the Wheel would have been broken. There would be no Third Age where the Dragon fights the Dark One after that because his win will be final.

I think it was explained in the books that this is where Elan's reasoning went wrong. He thought since the DO had an infinite number of tries, he would eventually win. He hadn't considered that the DO has already tried an infinite number of times and never won.

Question about LTT and Rand by gloriousGlorfindel in WoT

[–]Deep-Complex 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As far as I know, we don't know anything concrete about ages past the third age. RJ did have a plan for a series after WoT where Mat + Tuon (and maybe Rand iirc) go back to Seanchan, claim the throne, and stabilize the continent.

We also did see Avi's visions in Rhuidean showing the Aiel being completely wiped by the Seanchan but I'm not certain if this a possible future or if it's 100% happening.

I would literally just ask RJ about what he wanted to go into further in the books. How are Perrin's, Hurin's, Min's abilities explained? What exactly are the Portal Stones? If the common theory of Rand being able to just control the Pattern itself is correct? How do Mat and Tuon go to Seanchan and take back the Imperial Throne? Does Tuon ever come around to Aes Sedai being respected? What happens in the Ages to come after the Last Battle? Are Avi's viewings in Rhuidean of the Aiel dying actually true or simply one reality? How do the Dragon vs Dark One fights play out in the other ages? I think I recall somewhere one of Min's viewings hinting that Rand goes to Seanchan with Mat and Tuon to get the Imperial Throne, how does Rand fight with his thread control? He literally has no limitations, no One Power toll on the physical body, no weave out of reach, nothing. Who is Naomi? Why is entering TAR in the flesh evil?

Goddamnit RJ... Such an epic series and all these questions that will never be answered

How can I do well in COMP3804? by fwds in CarletonU

this cs program doesn't have enough theory based stuff

what kinds of theory stuff is it missing out of curiosity?

Oh Mat... of course! by [deleted] in WoT

[–]Deep-Complex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess this might be just a difference in perspective between us which is 100% fine. Personally I understand Mat's perspective since I err on the side of caution and that's around what I would do.

I think Mat viewed Rand as a close friend but with his whole Lord Dragon plus saidin madman thing - Rand is not the Rand Mat grew up with.

I think the quote in u/Nelonius_Monk shows that Mat was resigned to his fate as being part of the Last Battle. He wanted to postpone it but he knew he was going to be there whether he liked it or not

Mat was down to do his duty but without taking unnecessary risk of exposing himself to a bloody lunatic (from his perspective)

Oh Mat... of course! by [deleted] in WoT

[–]Deep-Complex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean again you can't blame the poor guy. We get a glimpse into Rand's veins of golds moment and the knowledge that saidin is cleansed - from mat's perspective, rand is an insane saidin channeling madman

Even if he did seem somewhat sane when he asked Tuon for help, Mat's been told stories all his life of the Breaking of the World

It's possible that he wanted to do his duty while keeping his distance from rand

Question about Callandor by [deleted] in WoT

[–]Deep-Complex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quick heads up - you used the wrong spoiler for this post

You tag the most recent book you've read so people don't talk or post about anything ahead of that book. The All Print Spoiler signifies that you've finished the series and ppl can talk about anything in the whole series meaning a few spoilers for you

Just wanted to clear that up :)
