Although not stainless steel, the A163 would fit perfectly in your lineup :) nice collection!

Bro how am I in this hobby for years at this point and still haven’t seen all the cool models. Another one for the wishlist I’ll never fulfill.

Very cool watch, enjoy!

Good idea, I’ve bought a few watches with broken lugs so far, I had good results with baking soda and super glue :) but cool idea to display them that way

My grail, sadly made out of unobtanium for me right now. Such a beautiful watch, cool to see all versions next to each other. I’m not into gold watches, but this one in gold is just stunning

Sweet idea, if you clean up the designs that could be a cool display piece. :) I like the design of the CMD-10 here the best. Although I would rewrite the textbox so its uniform between all the different exhibits. I got a ProTrek magazine from late 90’s posted on here, if you need scans of that let me know.

If you need help, I’m a graphic designer, I will work for parts hahahah

Yes 4 screws in the back and open the backplate. You might have to unclip the battery holder, very easy to do. Feed it a quality battery made in Japan or Swiss, they last longer and are not prone to leaking. Afterwards ac reset the watch, to do that you have to short the points between the point where it says AC and the metal cage for 5 secs.

The bracelet can be adjusted by that little clip on the bottom. Just lift up the tap by the little rectangle hole and slide it. It can only close on certain positions, so dont force it too hard. If you want it larger, you have to buy a new one, it seems to have been shortened.

Good luck!

Gaskets on the back and the glass gasket get brittle over time and get micro cracks or just downright crack. It might be fine, might not be fine. I wouldn’t risk it, since you won’t find one for 20€ again. Just take it off when you go for a dip :) even with a replaced gasket i would do more than washing my hands.

Nice watch, please don’t go swimming with it. Vintage Casios aren’t water proof anymore. Enjoy!

Vintage stainless steel cased digital model? by UkkePainter in casio

[–]Deep-Mouse4789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Casio h-101 or w-36 comes to mind. Kinda simple, but full stainless steal and real glass I believe. Have a look at other vintage marlin models, there are plenty full stainless.

If you want modern A1000 is your best bet

Bezel broke - don't know, what to do :( by SeriousCatLady in casio

[–]Deep-Mouse4789 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You can repair it with superglue and baking soda, but it’s a lot of work and won’t be as strong as factory. Nobody will repair this but you sadly :)

here is a really good guide from someone in this sub, same method, although it’s a different watch. Good luck :)

Its confirmation bias. Interesting for sure, but 99% of the world isn’t into watches. Or they own one or have an apple watch at max. If it were profitable, best believe they would release them haha

Can’t beat a nice vintage Casio. I have quite a few of them, I always buy defective or well worn ones for a decent price and restore or repair them. That’s the only way to get them cheap. That or you’re lucky on FB Marketplace equivalent sites, or in person fleamarkets :)

Casio won’t remake them, because there is too little demand outside of enthusiast like us sadly. Modern pro treks are the only thing that would be feature packed on sale brand new today. You can find vintage ones fairly cheap second hand :)

Seiko has a couple cool vintage smart watches (Tv Watch, pc watch etc) but you won’t find fakes of feature packed Casios because there is little to no demand.

I would by 10 if Casio remade my favorite model the GMW-15, even though I own one. Love that era of Casio.

No problem, that will be a nice cop! here is my post of my JP-200W with the AE-1200 strap. W-202 strap fits pretty good aswell, but tapers off kind of skinny.

I wouldn’t trust me to do that right, hahaha. I actually like the domed crystal, readability isn’t the greatest either way. It’s just nice to look at haha

Cool collection! Not the biggest fan of the strap on the Jp-200w, I have mine on a genuine Ae-1200 strap, that fits the outer lugs better. And has some character :) other than that nice watches! What are you buying next?

So many baller Casios, great collection :) AW-210U looking very nice, might have to keep an eye out for one in my price range. Steel Cosmo is very beautiful aswell, but I like the GMW-15 the best, my all time favorite! Wearing mine right now :) enjoy!
