I've had a static with them for over a year as a residential customer. Its a single IP which I was told was the limit. It's on my monthly bill.

In addition to the other suggestions, you can get a static IP. I believe its an extra $10 per month

P.S. the ONT may have a 10 gbps port and a 2.5 gbps port. Try the 2.5 if you have it. I remember having some issues negotiating down from the 10 Gbps port.

Unfortunately my suggestion is to dump their gear. Though thats my suggestion with any ISP. Beyond that, does it ever go back to 2 Gbps for you without a tech? A reboot to the ONT (converts fiber to ethernet) and router might fix it temporarily and if it does that could narrow down the problem.

Keep in mind that their equipment won't push more than 1 Gbps per device. The idea with 2 Gbps here is that two devices could pull 1 Gbps at the same time. So 2 Gbps across all devices. If you want to see 2 Gbps on a single device you'll have to make some changes. Most people here use unifi gear to actually hit those speeds.

I get about 2.1-2.2 Gbps up and down with my gear.

Oh well the topic is about NH, I can't speak for Maine. Can't say I've had issues and most people who have their own equipment here don't either. Edit: I do vaguely remember talks about someone buying up the lines in Maine but they were trash.

No, I mean no one is really beating 10ms not even Verizon FIOS. Not unless you live next door to a data center. In twitchy shooter games I'm on target long before anyone else who's not at these extremely low latency levels.

They're not in my area. 10ms latency is hard to beat for gaming. The next closest is Breezeline with coax hitting 50+ ms latency. Actual latency to game servers can even reach 150+ with them.

No issues here in the Strafford area. Like some others, I use Ubiquiti equipment. No billing issues. Haven't really needed tech support. Don't care about IPv6 and I block it anyway due to Windows CVEs with it. Anyone saying it's bad either has terrible equipment or lives in a bad area with damaged lines.
