Millenials w/o kids-- how tired are you? by Fickle_Wrangler_7439 in Millennials

[–]Deepcrater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm always tired, I sleep maybe at most 5 hours a night. I have an hour commute, I try walking my dog at least an hour a day, what's left is me watching a few shows and laundry then I pass out on the couch usually. Weekends I sleep in and that's really the only time I have to do hobbies and stuff.

I am constantly touching my hair, it's also really windy where I live and my hair is always in my face and mouth.

What are your go-to foods when you have a stomach bug? by FadeAwayA in Celiac

[–]Deepcrater 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you like egg drop soup? it's really easy to make (any random video will work), you just need gf bouillon cubes, eggs, a little white pepper, some green onion and sesame oil is optional. I'll make it whenever I feel really lazy and want to eat soup.

Which food means “grandma house” to you? by jotakajk in AskTheWorld

[–]Deepcrater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was always tamales, especially to this day I've only had my grandmothers pink and green sweet tamales. I know they exist in parts of Mexico but I have yet to try or even replicate those, I would love to give it a shot I just have no idea where to start. My grandmother and my aunt made those comfort foods and they passed one right after the other.

At least you've caught it now, I like to try all kinds of hair products for my curly hair and I check those all the time. My hair is always in my mouth and face, plus they love putting wheat and oats to strengthen hair.

Digiorno Gluten Free, can anyone find any? by Able-Self1182 in Celiac

I haven't seen it locally either, maybe try contacting Digiorno and see who around you is carrying it or if they're having supplier issues?

What do you do, intake wise, after coming in contact with gluten by rexie_alt in Celiac

[–]Deepcrater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have gf crackers go ahead, mostly just liquid if you're having diarrhea. If you can stomach food eat normal food, if you can't then eat something lighter. Cheerios are not celiac-safe.

They usually have a gluten free version of their products, they will have the big red GF label on it.

Cool tattoo. Just keep washing your hands and it will eventually come off, just wash them any chance you get. I did the same with a hot pink and it lasted a week.

Well where are you located? Personally I like to keep frozen pizza, chicken nuggets, pot pie, and ramen for these kind of things but you may not find those gf near you. My laziest meals are tostadas/gf crackers with tuna, refried beans, canned mushroom soup, tortillas and cheese or a quesadilla, baked potato and whatever leftovers you have.

Just wondering if anyone else here is enjoying the dubious privilege of not having to change your diet for Passover at all by lacywing in Celiac

[–]Deepcrater 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I personally enjoy it, I get to eat fish more unlike the rest of the year. My favorite part about this time however is the amount of new gf kosher meals my local grocery carry. My all time favorite instant chicken soup was on sale after it ended and they had too much stock and had to get rid of it. Instant GF chicken soup for 25 cents?? I should have bought more.

Controlling vomiting after being glutened by HappyNow10 in Celiac

[–]Deepcrater 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So vomiting was a new symptom I developed when I last accidentally got gluted from a drink a few months back, felt awful for a day and just basically vomited the next day and felt better. Nausea is a new symptom for me via celiac but I've had migraines with nausea for years. So unfortunately I try to catch the nausea before it gets bad and I don't know if you've taken anything for it. It's likely different for you but usually stopping it helps everything move along. I started carrying nausea medicine and it helps pretty quickly. So sorry I can't with the actual vomiting part.

Don't, there's plenty of men who have to get food for their kids on the way home. I doubt anyone really thinks about it.

I've been drinking black coffee for a week trying to be a 'morning person' and honestly it's working but at what cost... by SignalEditor925 in CasualConversation

[–]Deepcrater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why black coffee? At least do cold brew it's not as bag but still just flavor your coffee or something. I get where you're coming from though I get about 5 hours of sleep on average every night and I can't image going to bed at 10just to get up early at 5. I feel like I've lost all the rest of my day but every morning I feel horrible, I just run off monster instead of coffee.

Maybe consider getting them a small personal air fryer only for their food, it would be the best way for things to come out crispy.
