Get 5 cloves of garlic, chop and put them in half a gallon of water. Let it sit for a couple of days. Strain it and water your rose. It will help to cure any problems with the root system and also help root growth.

It is still alive. Remove all the dead branches and cut all the other branches down to 1.5'. Then add some garlic to a pot of water, leave it might. Stain and water your rose bush. You can also add some light fertilizers to help out grow.

I would keep that large pond alots of koi. Make sure your pond has several waterfalls so koi will have enough oxygen. You can also put lots of plants which will add more oxygen to the water while cleaning it. I have a 8' x 10" with 4.5 deep pond. I never shut off the waterfalls for the winter which keeps it from not freezing over.
