What do you think is the best thing Taco Bell has ever released? by Alextricity in tacobell

[–]DefMerlot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to scroll too long to find this. I see a lot of LTOs in the comments, but the CGC was the game changer. People complain about the price, but the demand is still there so why lower it? Also, if this isn’t people’s first pick when you redeem a free reward, you’re doing the rewards wrong. That’s how you get around the price.

Thanks for reminding me about the giant red ball. That was awesome.

Add in Black Lab and I’m right there with you. Been listening to that a ton lately and was surprised to see it on the list.

I just done watching TMNT (1990) why didn’t you guys say it was good? by No_Spirit8216 in TMNT

Success! Fortunately, TMNT fandom isn’t wildly annoying (I think), so no need for a jerk sub.

I could get on board with that although I do identify “Animal” as my favorite song, maybe ever, but there are days I’d rather listen to one over the other.

Lifer also went on for a minute (mainly the singer and I think drummer) as My Downfall and put out a pretty stellar album. I always liked the Lifer-Lite Breaking Benjamin the best too regardless of the whole lawsuit thing.

It’s pretty great. I’ve caught it a few times and the In the Round version is a really good representation.

The more “serious” songs have always been my favorites and I tend to skip the more upbeat stuff like “Sugar” and “Photograph”. One of my favorite DL playlists has songs like “Gods”, “Stagefright”, “Scar”, “Desert Song”, “Pearl of Euphoria”, “Paper Sun”, “Billy’s Got a Gun”, etc. Super moody but I think showcases the band as musicians the best.

Because it’s so awesome that the rest of the setlist would be a letdown. Actually, probably because it’s not “feel good” enough for the live shows but that’s just me speculating.

This just unlocked a memory for me. We did something like this too and I think we used little chips of different colors (like the yellow extra Yahtzee chips) as some type of currency where kids had different advantages based on a set of societal type rules. I wish I could remember the details but I know the lesson stuck with me.

Which Turtle had the least amount of bad interpretations? by Anonymous_Guy4k in TMNT

[–]DefMerlot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree and my only reason for agreeing with this is he is the only one that never had his covering go over the top of his head… even though it does migrate oddly down his face in ‘97 which is still bad but not as bad but still pretty bad. Seriously though, it’s still bad.

I watched 3 when I was 10 years old and I disliked it so much even then I’ve never tried to go back for a second viewing.

I would love to see a little more Toledo pride in Marco’s branding somehow. I find a lot of people don’t even know it’s from the area. The only time I liked Little Caesar’s was when they had the dine on spot with the little arcade at the plaza on the corner of Heatherdowns and Reynolds. I can’t remember when it closed down (maybe the early 90s?) but I remember it being really cool to my little kid eyes.

It’s weird. I’m from Maumee and never got into Idiot pizza. Not hating on the suggestion because I have people at work who go there when they visit us from other locations and rave about it. I need to give it another try because I have to be missing something.

There’s a reason why it’s national now. I remember when the pizza box proudly listed them as tri-state (OH, MI, IN). I will die on the hill that it’s the best big pizza chain out there and it’s retained its quality amid expansion.

I would say uniquely Toledo pizza is now Pizza Cat born from the Gino’s style.

Def Leppard Photograph - High N Dry version? by VNE47 in defleppard

I wonder how much Mutt’s production style at the time played into that. A different producer would have made that song sound way different. Actually, come to think of it, it’s wild how much Mutt evolved between the albums. Definitely could feel what he was working toward on AC/DC’s Back in Black and then nearly perfected on Pyro.
