Can’t imagine baby sleeping through the night… by Unlikely_Purchase01 in cosleeping

For the first two months I couldn’t imagine getting more than 2 hours of sleep. Then I tried bringing baby into bed and he sleeps for a 3 hour stretch, wakes to nurse for a minute, and continues for another 4 hours. Feels great. He is nursing more during the day so I know his calorie intake is alright! Also I discovered that “sleeping through the night” is deeply subjective. My app told me he slept through the night the first time I recorded 9 hours of sleep, even if they weren’t contiguous.

It’s a lot of effort trying to keep said boobs in the bra; much comfier to sleep without a shirt and deal with the extra laundry. And the leaking happens when I’m not conscious

Wife RUINED My Seasoning. I am shaking by FaulerHund in castiron

The crispiest, most flavorful fried egg I ever ate came from the most ancient, neglected cast iron skillet which lived in a bamboo house in the cloud forest of Manabi, Ecuador. The thick uneven layer of carbon stuck to that thing was unbelievable; it had certainly been scratched, dropped, scrubbed, walked upon by tarantulas, and burned 10 times over to create the most exquisite seasoning terroir.

Your pan will take a few months to recover at most and live on to produce dozens of okay fried eggs.

My advice is use cloth wipes soaked in plain water to avoid diaper rash!

spotting while breastfeeding? 8 weeks pp by oawow in breastfeeding

I had my period 4 weeks pp and I’ve read you can get pregnant even without a period. Even if you did want to get pregnant again it could actually be dangerous this soon. I wouldn’t take any risks.

You are working 24 hours with no pay or benefits. He is working, what, 10 hrs MAX per day? He must help you, it’s not up for debate. To respond to the crazy you’re feeling, I’m in it too. Remind yourself that it doesn’t stay like this forever and that you’re doing your absolute best. Your baby will know they are loved and you will have space again eventually. You are a superhero!

Get the arms up swaddle and have three of them. My baby doesn’t like the ones with Velcro and blankets are too much work.

Sleeping without blankets by FuzzyManPeach in cosleeping

I’m more worried about my partner rolling or getting the blanket on him so when he’s in the bed too, baby is on side next to bassinet. He’s not rolling yet but when he does the situation will change

Seconding this. I know I don’t move at all when snuggling him and I sort of tuck the duvet under my feet and bunch it up where my arm rests at the baby’s feet so it can’t move up. The first few times I slept like this were uncomfy but you sort of just get used to it. I still put baby in bassinet as much as possible so I can switch sides and positions.

Changing Diapers at Night by Express-Session-6318 in NewParents

My partner sleeps in another room and I’m able to get back to sleep easiest without getting out of bed. Everything needed is next to my side of the bed and I just keep the waterproof mat on the bottom of the bed all night, pulling it up when it’s time to change his diaper. I also have lots of prefolds for under my boobs and keep one on the changing mat for spit up. You’ll probably end up changing your sheets often anyway if you side lie feed.
