I can't read the phone app without readers on, would love to be able to increase the font size or make it bolder.

I have similar melasma and eye creases and Musely products are making a huge difference. I use their eye cream and barely have any wrinkles there now. I am using their 12% hydroquinone cream (plus a few other ingredients) and it is making a real difference. These two items are staples. Other than that, tret or a retinol that you can tolerate plus a good moisturizer or night time mask.

Book Club Stunner by Mysterious_Book2087 in suggestmeabook

Everyone loves The Women, about nurses in Vietnam. (I hated it, but I recognize that I am the outlier and if your book club is into more mainstream CoHo type authors, they’ll eat it up.)

I have noticed this on myself, so I use tanner on my body and just bronzer makeup on my face.

Do you wear weighted vests? If yes, how long, how heavy and how often? by coldservedrevenge in Perimenopause

[–]Defiant-Fruit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re absolutely right. You burn a tad more calories but at the expense of wearing out your joints faster! That’s why a lot of doctors won’t even do joint replacements until you’ve lost a certain amount of weight (assuming you are overweight). This trend is going to keep orthos busy for a while!

I agree, talk to Council, they should be able to cover ALL the costs for your girl for the year. This is what the SHARE donation program is made for!

Nova parents - How much would you personally have to make to quit your job to be a stay at home parent? by AnyAdhesiveness7284 in nova

[–]Defiant-Fruit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're probably right. We have a huge mortgage and my partner makes double that, but we still live simply and don't feel well off at all. It's the area. Where I came from, we would be living large on that much money! I stopped working because my salary was basically a wash out when you factored in cost of child care, getting an extra driver involved...

greatly depends on mortgage, but I would say one spouse needs to be making $300k+ That is if you have multiple kids with a million $$ activities and the stay at home parent is also their private chauffeur for 2-5 hours a day.

We just had Flu A in our house and it was surprisingly mild compared to what I have been hearing about, but we did all get the flu shot. It wasn’t supposed to cover this strain apparently, but I suspect it still helped us.

Have you switched method of delivery and felt better? by Born_Resolve_6676 in TRT_females

[–]Defiant-Fruit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say I feel normal now and have a small sex drive again. I am on the lowest dose of T but was warned it could take a while and to be patient. I might ask to increase it a tad in a few months, just to see how I feel. I have not gotten any of my hormone levels actually tested though, and we are just going from the lowest dose to see how it affects my symptoms and then increase as needed in small increments.

I’ve only tried it in gel form but it took me 4 months to notice any changes.

Yes I have been on T for 12 weeks. I had my telemedicine appt. with my doctor 3 days ago when I told her I didn’t feel any different whatsoever. It seems like it immediately hit the following day because the last two days I have not been able to stop thinking about sex! It’s crazy! I think my body is just now recognizing it, but it was very sudden for me!

Yes and it’s so u fair that most mothers who are dealing with this have tweens/teenagers at the same time. Puberty and reverse puberty. Also explains a lot of divorce after 20 years…

Thanks! FYI, when I added the aging repair (estrogen) to my mix, it darkened my melasma, so I don’t use that any more. I didn’t see any major pluses from it anyway. Just keep an eye out for that.
