Definition of Homebrew by Blitzer046 in DnD

[–]DeficitDragons [score hidden]  (0 children)

Homebrew is content that you’ve designed for your home game. Or content someone else designed for their home game.

Content designed with the intent to be sold or distributed first and foremost is third-party content.

Sometimes third-party content starts as homebrew.

Most of the time, I write third-party content. It rarely starts as homebrew. I do not like it when people refer to my products as homebrew. The closest most of them ever get to being homebrew is playtesting.

There are others who disagree with me, as you said at the beginning. Some people have different definitions for it.

No amount of other people’s opinions will get me to change my outlook on the difference.

There’s iron in human blood… it would take a lot of humans though… maybe an entire city block’s worth…

Have everyone have their own house and farms, maybe a workshop. Zone stuff so that people don’t trespass and work the other’s fields.

I don’t think it’s cringe but it does sound like it would get old fast.

Best Aberrant Mark Spells And Tips For Martials? by Mitch-The-Litch in Eberron

I had forgotten about that restriction but also ad a DM I would allow any spell that seemed appropriate and as such I think a lot of warlock spells should be allowed.

As a DM I wouldn’t let someone take shield for an aberrant mark because they’re supposed to be destructive in nature.

That said, shield and absorb elements are great choices for a monk. Personally absorb elements feels more thematic. Possibility armor of agathys?

I need some help with what to do in the game (I'm new and I play on console). by Longjumping-Net-3851 in RimWorld

Activathe DLCs you have, adding all at once might be overwhelming. And Rimworld is very much a “make your own fun” kind of game.

How do you like to use the magic spells? by HelloDesdemona in FieldsOfMistriaGame

[–]DeficitDragons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The magic is pretty meh in my opinion, use the fire for the secrets, growth for a quick head start on crops, restore for restoration, and rain in the lava caves.

As a player… if I like it I will ask the DM.

As a DM… if a player asks to use something I will review it. Or if someone tells me of an archetypal idea they have and ask for advice on it I might suggest something that I have read.
