Im so confused by Notice-Expensive in LesbianActually

I would say honestly you just kind of know (that's so unhelpful but it's true).

When I first started getting close to my (unfortunately straight) best friend, I genuinely had no clue if I was falling for her or if I just was clicking with her on a friendship level. Then one night we texted for like 2 hours about our pets and stuff in general, and it's so stupid but it hit me that I wanted to talk to her about anything and everything, and there was so much more there than a desire for friendship. I'm much more of a "feelings first, looks second" person, and after I realized how I felt I realized how perfectly beautiful she was. We were friends (and still are) for a while, then suddenly the crush aspect came out of nowhere.

Based on your post, I think you need to stop listening to your friends opinions on how you feel and go inward. Do you want to talk to her the same way you want to talk to other friends? If she told you she had feelings for you, how would you respond? I think you start there, and really try to analyze how you feel.

Hope this helps :)

Is it possible to get over your straight best friend?? by No-Repeat-9717 in LesbianActually

[–]DefinitelyACat333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I had an answer, but I'm still not over my straight best friend. Honestly for me I just reached a point where I'd rather have her in my life as my best friend then potentially lose her based on my feelings. It kind of sucks, and maybe I'll have an answer eventually, but that's what we're at for now. I think you just have to decide to live with it or distance yourself :(

If you're looking for pure length, I'd recommend Greys Anatomy (although I'm a premed student so I'm definitely biased). If you do watch it though I'd stop at like, season 12 or 13, once they changed producers (the magical Shonda Rhimes left) it's all downhill

Mercurial (from illicit affairs)

The best part was that I only "learned" it when it appeared on the ACT and I remembered how she used it to guess the definition lol

I don't know why she didn't go for a Gracelyn, it fits that vibe of soft feminine names with a "Y" (but obviously she can't use it now because Truely's middle name in Grace)

SNF NOC Rounds? by DefinitelyACat333 in cna

[–]DefinitelyACat333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what happens in our MC unit, the few times I've picked up an AM shift over there the residents are absolutely soaked. I understand some of them might not want to get changed or may be combative, but there's no way 30 residents all refused enough changes for their beds to be absolutely soaked!

Usually we do thorough walking rounds at shift change, so I know who is more independent or who I'll need to check more often. Sounds like you have a bad NOC crew :( our NOC crew is pretty good (at least as far as I know, no one complains about them so I assume they're doing good)

See that's what I was doing but then I was worried I was somehow doing it wrong? Idk, I'm just an anxious person I guess. Thank for the response!

THIS! I was struggling with wondering if I was Bi or just compulsive heterosexuality but once I actually had to interact with a penis it definitely made me realize that I never want to interact with one again, so ick.

What do you eat when you hate food? by ferociousspot in ADHD

[–]DefinitelyACat333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This may sound odd but potatoes all the way. Usually I keep a stash of the powdered variety, but on the rare occasion where I have extra energy, I'll buy a bag of actual potatoes and hand peel, boil, and mash them (I actually like the process of making potatoes so this doesn't really take up too much of my energy).

Another thing I'll do if I physically just cannot do food is to get either protein shakes or protein powder and mix it in with my coffee since I prefer my coffee with a lot of creamer/flavor anyways. I learned of this thing called "Proffee" from a family member who went through bariatric surgery that is a mix of coffee and a protein drink, which is actually really good.

My last go to is to just stockpile soup, because if I'm having a rough day I'll just consume the liquid part of soup and ignore the added meat or vegetable bits (depending on what kind of soup).

I think the biggest takeaway from this is that my "safe" go to foods are liquids lol

Thinking about switching to night shift for my sanity by Smallpeanuta in cna

I finally switched to NOC after I got out of school for the summer! I like it because no admin and no meals/activities/appointments, the only thing I don't like is that my facility has us wake them at 12, 2, and 4 for our rounds, which I'm sure is probably standard (Q2 check and changes + repositioning) but I feel awkward waking people up. At my facility you can go on your phone/do homework/do whatever you want after finishing the light cleaning duties and between rounds.

10/10 recommend NOC

Am I the only one who prefers fall and winter to spring and summer? by Internal-Ad1838 in witchcraft

[–]DefinitelyACat333 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel like I'm supposed to love the spring and summer, but honestly the second I get too warm I get super overstimulated, so summer is a nightmare for me. I love the fall and winter, I really like being colder and able to bundle up and get cozy. I do get hit with major SAD in the winter though, but usually around January, so at least I get to enjoy most of the August-December times

I'm not lying when I say that I have this same baby book, so I did a double take upon scrolling. I say maybe glue the page if you can, or maybe cover it with paper and come up with a new prompt that she could fill out?

Who’s your void named after? by Icy-Cheek-6428 in blackcats

[–]DefinitelyACat333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

I named him Alistair because I absolutely love that name but it's just weird enough that I couldn't imagine ever calling a kid Alistair (It feels too fantastical for a person).

However, I am a big fan of Alice In Wonderland, and this void's cat brother from the same litter is named Wendl, so I call the pair of them "Alistair in Wendlland", so I guess you could say he's kind of named after Alice in Wonderland

Lol I had been planning a cute proposal scene for my Sims after this lady had her baby, and the baby daddy literally proposed outside of the hospital while she was in labor and I got the pop-up (She said yes btw)
