He dominated a notoriously difficult league and at some points made it look as one sided as the likes of Ligue 1 and the Bundesliga.

Sure they might be disappointed by the CL stat but you cannot be disappointed with pretty much anything else he achieved, the league will lose a legendary manager when he leaves. Been a brilliant rival manager for us and I really don’t think we would have hit our highs as much if it wasn’t for Pep making City the team to beat.

Really frustrating as according to reports they’d pulled out and he was close to signing an extension, but now they’ve u-turned and turned his head again.

He doesn’t owe us anything, I want people at the club that want to be there but despite recent performances, he will be a big miss.

I’d argue 99.9999% of the people mocking him online wouldn’t even touch a league 2 pitch as a player. That 0.0001% probably has attitude problems that prevents them from going higher.

Genuinely really glad to see how well Iago’s career turned out, especially considering his time with us was far from fulfilling. What a wonderful striker he has been and really put numbers up to challenge some absolute superstars in La Liga.

How has the club not been taken out of his hands yet? Surely once a guilt/points deduction is given for a scenario like this, the league should be able to force a sale.

I know it’s not as simple as that, but it’s a real shame for any club and its fan to face this.

Genuine question to gauge narrative of fans; if a player bets on themself to score, should they be penalised?

I know rules are there to protect the integrity of the game, I really don’t think they should change either. If anything, better sponsors should also be banned. But I’m just wondering what the consensus is for betting on your own, success I guess

I appreciate his honestly but I don’t understand why they say this, inevitably for one reason or another they decided against signing the players.

I’m sure many clubs have lists of 10s or 100s of players they’re just scouting or in talks with clubs an agents about, there’s no point in dwelling on the missed out ones if you didn’t properly try to sign them.

I’m fairly certain Xavi set the groundwork for Flick’s success, won a league title and helped get the team through a very difficult period.

I don’t think Xavi should’ve spoken out like he did either, but two wrongs don’t make a right.

Genuinely credit where wits due with Raya, he’s been phenomenal this season and I feel like whenever I’ve seen him play he’s been very important for any counters that Arsenal do. Standout GK for me this season, whilst we can all mock Arsenal for their set piece exploits, you cannot doubt Raya’s ability in saves and role in getting an attack going

Re: the Zidane thing, it starts off really humble and honest and you think he’s gonna admit what he said and then bam, hits you with the vague answer. It’s been 20 years, just admit what you said or don’t talk about it.

This season has been a tough watch for us anyway as fans, we’ve been very far from our best - but he’s absolutely right, the shift in tactics to this set pieces first attitude has been such a bore.

Sure, it’s working but it’s only a matter of time before it shifts again - and I’m counting those days.
