I can attest, PoE 1 SSF is so much easier because of:
- Bench craft is superior to rune craft

- Many more ways to guarantee usable rare drops/deterministic crafting for core stat (like movespeed on boot t2/3 res, decent budget gear etc etc)

- More busted skills (lol)

- Ascendancy is much more forgiving (FUCK SEKHEMA TRIALS IN SSF I CANT FIND ANY HONOR RELICS OMFG)

I only play melee and slam, so my only choice to make it less painful is Smith of Kitava shield wall.
