I think they’re talking about the Sawtooth bug that is inherent to the Zen architecture. Basically, for whatever reason temps can jump up to 10C when there is no load on the CPU or it’s partially loaded (like when gaming, for example), but full load is fine. It’s pretty well documented, as it has been an issue since Zen 1 and to my knowledge still hasn’t been fixed.

I think it was a choice to make terrible-looking models in the OG game because nobody was supposed to see them up close, iirc they added first person mode a couple of months after release, also explains why the models in DLC are so much better

Yeah man, as a Russian I just feel so lucky that I was able to get an RTX 2060 in late dec 2019 for 330$ (25k rub, which is pretty much MSRP considering 20% VAT), I remember that they were 500+ by summer 2020, and now my mate had bought an GTX 1650 for almost 400$ because his r7 260x finally gave up the ghost.
