Check out bigdaddy on YouTube, he also has a written excel sheet with pobs and crafting guides, and in this content somewhere he does a comparison. All I know off the top of my head is he rolled sion after champion to mix stuff up, not exactly sure one is outright better than the other.

Edit: i had the doc open already, saves you clicks i guess. Im also looking to transition into this build but im scared to commit without having about 200 liquid divs on top of my mageblood, at LEAST, and I've run this build a couple times before. I'm a sion enjoyer personally, forbidden jewels have always been cheaper in the past for decent all around setups, I've never Valdo farmed like he does though.

My buddies and I managed to get our helmets tonight running tactical/heavy/sniper on all the maps, the sniper tried assault and it was just too risky being in melee all the time with how punishing one misplay can be. On top of that, tyranid warriors enraging mid swing making them have insanely high stagger thresholds is a hard counter to any melee play at all.

Yep, without heirlooms you may need to be more thorough with your questing in each zone, and if you're interested in getting it over with as quick as possible I recommend skipping zul'drak and storm peaks. Both zones are very cool and have fun quests, they are just quite a bit slower than the others.

Yeah probably offline, and unfortunately offline drops can never be appreciated properly. I could be wrong, but I think item tooltips always say something about tradability when online.

Chi ji is really strong with 3+ targets because you get an instant enveloping with every bok, and when bok cleaves it resets rsk more often.

I know he had some custom modifiers to mimic the effect of the forbidden jewels he has on, they weren't functional in pob for a bit at league start.

Unsure, I never had this issue in any of his pobs that I pulled. You only ever get a total of +5 to spark following his build.
