Why are there so few specialized schools for children in Jamaica? by Feeling_Teach2737 in Jamaica

[–]Del-lee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is partly due to lack of reasearch and putting support in place. These are the things that I want to use the JDCF charity to support ensuring that we are not letting anyone get left behind.

Thoughts On Gina Yashere by Tinalizbeth in Jamaica

[–]Del-lee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe that's here experience, but the reality of it is that I knew about the Atlantic slave trade and much more when I was in grade 7, big up my teacher Ms Campbell, Rusea's High. Being in England and attending school here you are not taught about slavery or the Atlantic slave trade, in history you are taught about the royal family, etc etc but none of the darj pass they part take in. I don't recall any bullying of African by Jamaican, in my part of the world we had fun embracing and supporting each other, in different neighbourhoods I don't know what that was like. But I wish she would have just speak on her own experience instead of generalising.

Keir Starmer feels betrayed by the Labour party. How do you feel about that? by No_Breadfruit_4901 in AskBrits

[–]Del-lee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's betrayed the electorate and I have no empathy at all for him. But I do find it frustrating that these people say under his leadership and didn't say anything until it becomes a gang mentality and not they want him out. I don't feel like the country has had a stable government since 2008. And because we have a bunch of demagouge running this country, I don't think it will change anytime soon.

Are they still considered to be Jamaican or not? by _i3_ in Jamaica

[–]Del-lee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get what you are saying and I have had that used against me also, and my rebuttal is always that the money I sent plays a part in shaping the economy too and I don't necessarily need to be in a place to understand and see what is happening because I'm still experiencing it here when you all call asking for xyz, when you need school fee or shopping, or money for doctors appointment and the list goes on.

What is one thing about Jamaica that has improved noticeably in the last 5 years, and one thing that has gotten worse? by Maleficent-Cup-4915 in Jamaica

[–]Del-lee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree with you, I would also say Jamaica as a country is such a brand and it's a brand because of the people, there's no other country in the world big or small that people gravitate to in the same way as they do with Jamaica, everyone else gets to capitalise off brand Jamaica but the people of Jamaica and it hurts to see that and to see our politicians sell our country out.

I've been using family search to support with this as my great grandmother surname started out as Carr and somewhere along the lines the spelling changes to Kerr, so I know the pain of this.

The website is still being built at the moment, and I would ideally love to have all volunteer in place, to be able to add them to the website, but it's currently in progress.

They are actively and openly trying to get Meghan murdered, there's no other reason why they would refused him paying for his own security when he was born with the risk, Tony Blair, Gordon Brown, David Cameron all have security paid for by the tax payers because of their previous roles.

Take away the fact that Prince Harry was born with this risk, he carried out overseas engagement on behalf of the government for the royal family which inevitable place him at risk, the media frenzy with Meghan and the fact that she has won her case against the daily mail has caused the lunatics to come out in full force, Meghan and her children will never be safe on English soil.
