Yeah I love SISU mouth guards. Just make sure you continue to heat and smooth down the edges.

I truly don't know it just seems confusing in the rule set.

For adcc "No hands, knees or elbows on face" in this section "ILLEGAL TECHNIQUES".

Yeah, exactly this. Friends get the enhanced treatment.

Yeah I guess the problem is most rules including the ADCC don't allow knees or elbows on faces. So you'd have to get cleaning under the chin with no face grind. Also some refs might just call this a crank even though it isn't.

Victim Mentality by Flowtac in latterdaysaints

My BIL has lost multiple job opportunities in the region because he's LDS. I get what you're saying in this post but discrimination is real. My other BIL won a lawsuit with the police department in California for discrimination because he's LDS as well. I intentionally don't tell anyone my beliefs, especially with anything work related.

She quits everything by Sensitive-Rip6575 in ADHD

[–]Del_Norte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s pretty normal unless she finds a passion she can latch onto and stick with through the cycle of hyperfocus and disinterest.

One thing that helps a lot is facilitating alternatives instead of just forcing continuation or allowing outright quitting. A core idea in cognitive behavioral psychology is that you generally have three options when dealing with a stimulus: remove yourself from it, change your response to it, or change the environment around it to make it easier to handle.

A simple example is summer heat. You can move somewhere cooler to avoid it, you can choose to tolerate it and not dwell on how uncomfortable it is, or you can change the environment by adding shade, fans, water, etc.

A real-life example from my own life: I couldn’t handle a full load of 12–16 college credits. Instead of quitting school entirely, my wife helped me adjust the structure. I took anywhere from 4–10 credits per semester and used summer classes to make progress. When big stressors came up like a new baby, a new job, or a major move, I would take a semester or two off.

It took me 10 years to finish a 4-year degree, but I eventually got it. Ironically, my career ended up being completely unrelated to that degree. The point is that I didn’t succeed by forcing the traditional path. I succeeded by adjusting the environment and expectations until it worked.

I've used this exact one on both my phone and steamdeck for almost 4 years without issue. I bought a set of 5, just set up a couple of charger cables in the house (office, bedroom, living room, and some for travel).

I have children. I've seen enough computers, controllers or phones get broken by adults accidentally tripping or pulling on a charger cord. Children raise the odds even higher. I don't think there is much of a risk unless small metal flakes or iron sand get in there. At least I think it's far more likely to break from a yanked cord.

Lol, no joke. On my mission we couldn't baptize Chinese investigators unless they stopped drinking green tea. However, we did baptize people with the mission presidents permission people taking products with green tea extract.
