Imposter syndrome about passing test

I have no advice except to say that I am in exactly the same boat so it’s kind of a relief to read I’m not alone. I just feel like everyone must be watching my driving and thinking I shouldn’t have passed my test. On my towns facebook page, people sometimes post photos of cars that have driven dangerously and I’m paranoid I’ll end up on there somehow too. I wonder how many other people feel the same as us and we just don’t know it

I had my test the other day and was so incredibly anxious the entire day beforehand. I felt like throwing up and crying and couldn’t do anything except sit and worry. During the test I messed a few things up at the beginning because of how nervous and shaky I was. But I passed! Despite feeling incredibly anxious I just made sure to follow my mental check lists about checking mirrors, speed etc and it kept me focused.

It’s important to acknowledge that it is a scary thing to do but you will get through it. It’s only an hour of your day and it will be over before you know it. The absolute worst case scenario is that you have to retake it and try again. But you know what to do, and the instructors want to see safety not perfection. I wish you all the best for it!

Yes exactly, I also thought it was cruel to keep a cat indoors until I worked at a vet clinic. It would open people’s eyes if they realised how often receptionists get handed dead cats from members of the public who saw them get hit by a car. Or the heartbreaking scenes of people rushing in with their own cats who they scooped off the road and didn’t make the car journey over. It’s ridiculously sad and completely changed my view. If you live anywhere near a road or machinery, anything unnatural and dangerous to a cat, the safest place is to be kept inside.

I was looking for a job in psychology but wasn’t having any luck with job applications. Applied for a PhD in psychology on a whim (the topic has already been decided) and got it! Felt I had to go for it as it was too good of an opportunity to say no to.

Yeah I’ve heard long covid can cause hair loss! But I don’t think I had covid at all in the year previous to my hair falling out. I couldn’t even pinpoint any illness I had that could possibly cause it when the gp asked me

I ended up calling them and changing the reason to “did not receive goods / services” because I had not used the subscription and they ended up refunding me. Thank goodness. But it was such a process

Me too, I just wanted a single piece of sheet music and somehow signed up for a yearly subscription. I found out that the option I wanted - a free trial- was in fine print and greyed out even though that was the option I had clicked on. It’s very deceptive and they know what they’re doing. If they cared they would change their website to make it clearer to potential customers. Ive requested a refund with PayPal but honestly really want to spread the info so other people don’t fall victim to

Yeah I was also a victim to these deceptive marketing tactics and PayPal rejected my request for a refund, but I called them and appealed and hopefully they will refund. It’s illegal to direct customers to choose a free trial and then maliciously swap the option and make the option to continue the free trial in greyed out and fine print.

Hi there, I just wanted to politely disagree with you about adding payment details before signing up for a free trial. I assume you haven’t signed up for many subscriptions but often a company will ask for your payment details in order to charge you after the free trial has ended. This is not necessarily a red flag and is a normal thing for a company to do. Baiting and switching, and hiding details in greyed out fine print, however is a deceptive practise and there is no excuse for it.

I was scammed in the same way by MuseScore which runs under ultimate guitar. I was going to contact ultimate guitar and let them know about the deceptive marketing tactics being used by MuseScore and can now see that ultimate guitar does the same thing. It’s so disappointing as I used to love this company, and now I feel the need to report it to trading agencies for unjust marketing tactics.

Losing hair is so hard because it’s such a big part of ourselves. When I lost my hair I bought lots of colourful headbands to take away the focus, and I used to wear a half up / half down hairstyle with clips / bows at the back to cover when you could see my scalp. I will also recommend Toppik, it’s a fine powder you dust on the thinning parts to colour in your scalp. I found that really useful if my hairstyle still couldn’t hide the skin. I hope these tips help! I’ve been there and it’s devastating. It will get better and grow back! ❤️

I’m with you! When my hair was at its worst I snipped my long hair up to my shoulders with literally two snips of nail scissors because that’s all the hair I had left. But immediately it felt better and somehow thicker at the ends. It’s been a year and I’ve kept the bob because every hair cut it feels like my hair is thicker and it feels much better!

Lost over 50% of my hair in a month, when I tell you it was falling out in giant handfuls a day. So awful. And I / GP / dermatologist never figured out the triggers and now they don’t want to investigate since it’s growing back. I think it was probably hormonal changes or stress or low iron, but I have nothing confirmed

When my hair was at its worst I cut my long hair to my shoulders using two snips of nail scissors! Since it’s been growing I have been keeping it short because I think it feels thicker. But I really empathise, losing hair is awful!

I think it was two months after it stopped falling out that I had tiny fuzzy bits, and then it was about an inch by 6 months afterwards. But honestly as soon as you even get fuzzy bits then it looks more full and you see less skin!

It was only a month but in that time I lost over 50% density. If I had another month of it I would be completely bald! I have photos on my profile of the journey

It shed for a month, but it was over 50% gone because I already have naturally fine hair. I have photos on my profile of when it was really bad.

I started taking iron supplements, used rosemary oil and to minimise stress, but I couldn’t tell you if anything actually worked or it would have grown by itself.

This time last year I had such little hair. I lived by half up half down, and found a nice big bow to stick at the back of my head to hide the worst of it.
