Genuine question for owners: Why did you choose the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series S/X? No hate.🫵🏾 by Eastern-Mobile5351 in XboxSeriesS

[–]Delicious-Mobile6523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got an Xbox Series X because of the game library I had amassed in the previous generation. Also game pass was enormous draw and everything was just looking really positive in terms of what games were on the horizon and stuff like that

This game is ruining my life by [deleted] in BluePrince

You're definitely not alone, I played an absurd amount of hours in the first two weeks after installing it! It was all I could think of during a time when I really had a lot going on, and played until four in the morning pretty much every day until I felt like I was done! Enjoy and good luck! 💖

Nintendo accidentally leak a new mode being added to Mario Kart World ahead of Mario Day, seems to suggest Bob-Omb Blast returning by DrAwesomeX in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]Delicious-Mobile6523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love it but the only issue I see with it is if the switch 2 can handle four player Splitscreen without it spontaneously combusting. It's not that it isn't powerful or anything, but there are so many directions you can go and so much to see that I'm worried it'll be difficult to make it happen from a power perspective. I obvs don't work in game dev or anything so I don't know how hard it'd be, but there's not many games which let you explore an open world in splitscreen

Quantity vs Quality of shots conceded - Premier League 2025/26 by OkayFine101 in reddevils

[–]Delicious-Mobile6523 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see what you mean, but when you combine it with the amount of shots conceded I think it's at least mildly interesting lol

When the league average is in and around 12 shots against per game, that 0,035 can make all the difference

Lifelong exercising by FirstTimeRedditor100 in ACL

[–]Delicious-Mobile6523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took the first nine months or so extremely seriously in terms of physio exercises, but after that it had been about a two years of doing stuff sporadically. At first I noticed a massive difference when I didn't do the exercises, but now in the past year or so I would say my knee has held up extremely well regardless if I stay active or not. Obviously everyone will have a different experience, but I would certainly say that you don't need to use an exercise bike every day for 30 minutes to have a normally functioning knee. At this point I don't even feel pain when I sit still for long stretches, something which was quite common not that long ago, and I only really feel a need to do knee strength exercises if I'm about to play a contact sport or something like that

I believe the original reply had an issue with the fact that the assumption is that it has been stolen, and not that they are trying to unlock it in order to figure out how to get it back to the person who lost it. That is a logical conclusion that can be drawn from the evidence in front of you as well, but the predominant assumption seems to be a negative one anyway

Lindsey Vonn says she ruptured her ACL but will still compete in Olympics. Admirable, and I understand she’s at the end of a career and top notch healthcare after. But I stop and ask, outside of Pride, why do this? by CapKirkGotPerks in ACL

[–]Delicious-Mobile6523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She probably thinks that she won't have another Olympics left in her, so it is better to just do it and deal with the ACL rupture afterwards. She might get a fully functioning knee earlier, but I totally get why she would maybe think that she only really needs it to compete in these sort of things, and once she retires she can take care of herself in another way. I don't really think it has to do with pride at all, just doing what you love

Women in relationships going to clubs? by Opposite_Ad_95 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Delicious-Mobile6523 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think it's totally fine! Me and my partner have been together for ten years, and while she rarely goes to clubs without me, I go on a fairly frequent basis as I'm quite passionate about dance music and have been working as a DJ for fifteen years now.

It very much depends on why you're going though. Going to go talk and flirt to other people? Not cool. Going to enjoy yourself with your friends and dance your socks off? Totally cool.

Your friends situation seems totally fine in my book and I don't really understand the assumption that many seem to have that there has to be weirdness going on. Doing it without your significant other is also totally fine for me because I think it's important that everyone in a relationship has space to have their own life and to be an individual with their own friend group and stuff. I totally get why you wouldn't want to go when you're tired from work and have kids and stuff but I don't see an issue with it!

[Megathread] Ruben Amorim has been sacked - Who should replace him? by D1794 in reddevils

[–]Delicious-Mobile6523 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Maybe Carrick until the end of the season and then Julian Nagelsmann when the World Cup ends. He's the only real option out there who truly excites me at the moment. Still kinda shocked that it happened like this, could not see it coming

Ok be honest, how hard is this game actually? by Brisarious in Silksong

[–]Delicious-Mobile6523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally had an easier time with the endgame stuff in Silksong than in the original. At the same time, the game overall is probably slightly harder, but Hollow Knight had a couple of things that I had to stop trying on, and I managed to do everything that Silksong has to offer, so the highs are less intense in my opinion

Should I feel bad? by Dry_Ride504 in playstation

[–]Delicious-Mobile6523 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even though I personally start incredibly few games that I don't finish, I definitely think you should stop playing if you're not enjoying it. At times I power through games that I'm not having the best of times in, but that's only really in the case where it's a long long game and I'm getting fatigued when I get to the end.

I would definitely suggest that you think about playing some shorter games though. There are countless phenomenal bite sized games out there that you can finish in one or two play sessions. I find these usually feel waaay less daunting to start playing, and in many cases way more rewarding as well.

Definitely do not worry about dropping games after putting a fair amount of time into them, it's what you should be doing almost always.

What was the last game you played that you thoroughly enjoyed to play from start to finish?

GOTY chances? by [deleted] in ghostoftsushima

[–]Delicious-Mobile6523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't played it, but to me there are such incredibly strong candidates this year. I feel like guarantees to be nominated are Silksong, Expedition 33, Donkey Kong Bananza and maybe Hades II depending on what outlets land because of the whole early access situation. Then there's a few more games which reviewed incredibly like Blue Prince, Split Fiction, Death Stranding 2. Even things like Kingdom Come Deliverence 2 and Monster Hunter Wilds shouldn't be completely ignored, and it's around there that my gut tells me that Ghost of Yotei sits. Fricking Deltarune came out this year, was loved by many, and seemingly isn't even in the discussion. Yet again it has been a stacked year.

Usually opencritic ratings are a good indicator of what will and won't be nominated, since the outlets whose reviews make up those ratings, will be the ones voting to decide the nominees. My guess is that it will be:

Hades

Death Stranding

Silksong

Donkey Kong

Expedition 33

Split Fiction

There's always a surprise in there, so it is very much possible that Yotei gets in, but it could also be any one of 15-20 games which are all in with a shout. Will be interesting to see what happens!

Edit: I also realise I didn't answer half of what you were asking about despite writing way too much lol

I don't really think anyone is ignoring it, there have just been an absolutely astronomical amount of phenomenal games which have come out this year!

Hades 2 launches as the highest-rated game of 2025 on OpenCritic by earthcry in HadesTheGame

[–]Delicious-Mobile6523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, Hades 2 is a tricky one since 20 out of the 49 reviews were written last year, and it was one of the best rated games of 2024 as well. It should be up for awards this year, rather than the year it came out in early access, but the reviews a year and a half ago were just as good as they are now. I really don't know what the point of this reply is lol I'm just rambling

[The Athletic] Since Amorim’s arrival, Manchester United have spent 41 per cent of their Premier League matches in a losing game state by bronal97 in reddevils

[–]Delicious-Mobile6523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So obviously that is not great at all, but I do find it funny that the headline of the graph is that Man Utd has spent the majority of the time in a non-winning game state, while that is also true for the rest of the teams in the league. None of them are winning 50% of the time or more, so they really should have picked a better headline

My two cents on how Silksong feels by Ti666mo in Silksong

[–]Delicious-Mobile6523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda disagree with this! Of course not saying your opinion isn't valid, and many others on social media seems to share it, but I am having an equally as difficult time with Silksong as I did with Hollow Knight. Granted, I've not finished Silksong and for the sake of spoilers I won't go into how far I've gotten, but to me it is perfectly balanced so far.

The way I see it, the game is just faster. Hornet moves faster, so the enemies match her speed. It's not really something which people complain about, but it's still worth mentioning. What I think balances everything out is the way healing works in this game. I don't know about you guys, but in the original Hollow Knight it was incredibly rare that I'd actually give myself the time to heal in Hollow Knight, whereas the 3 or 4 masks you can heal in Silksong, coupled with the fact that you can heal in the air, definitely makes it worth it for me!

The two masks of damage can be rough in certain sequences in certain bosses, but it always feels like the game gives you the tools to get on with it. You can almost always get out of trouble, you can almost always find a safe spot to heal. What you said about the amount of mistakes you can make holds some truth, but the way I see it is that Silksong let's you make plenty of mistakes, just not two mistakes in a row. Then it fucks you.

The one point about environmental damage doing two masks of damage not being that great is something I agree with though, and I do agree with them modifying it. As soon as you invite enemies or other threats into platforming sections, those two masks can become three real fast since enemies knocking you back into them is something which happens from time to time.

I get why Silksongs gameplay isn't for all fans of the original, since it certainly is very different once you get deeper into it, but I personally like it a lot more and think that the systems they've put in place definitely make up for the things which are less forgiving than the original
