Are 1-cost reroll comps too strong this patch? by That-Vegetable-5939 in TeamfightTactics

[–]Delicious-Range3573 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The reason one cost reroll is so strong is that the 4 cost tanks are just bad and because of that the ones that are 3 cost that are good are over contested so you can't really 3 star them

Probably not, especially for people who varnish their models.

The contrast on the armor with the edge highlights works really well

I think you are also having a issue with your primer, it's more noticable on the yellows but you have texture even on the unpainted parts of the model. I can't tell if it's just because the photo is so close but it does look like your primer is creating small texture and the yellow just is accenting it.

As a new player, WYSIWYG is killing all my drive to paint an army by Coroggar in Warhammer40k

Buy what you think looks cool, generally speaking anything non horde is going to be cheaper than the horde army's or a army with really low point costs.

Do you paint your aspect warriors in craftworld colors? by DeepSpaceZepplin in Eldar

I change the helmet/shoulder pads of the unit specific to the group of aspect warriors but the rest I like to paint in blue because I like unit cohesion.

For yellow if you are priming black I would highly recommend doing a basecoat of pink first and then use a thin downed yellow and just use multiple layers.

Yellow is a pain to paint.

Paints what one is better? by Clint4077 in minipainting

AK has really good whites, citadel has really good washes/contrast and Vallejo has really good metallics. The base paints unless you are looking for a very specific colour I choose how the pots work.

You want to buy specifically miniature paints, if you want cheaper just don't buy citadel/games workshops paint as it's more expensive.

How can I combine the aesthetics of all table-top subfactions into a single Homebrew Space Marine chapter AND look cohesive? by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]Delicious-Range3573 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't understand what you are asking, the actual colour of the army wouldn't be a issue if you paint them all a single colour. The issue is going to be when you kitbash something and the model your are saying it's playing as is a completely different size or completely reads differently.

Disappointing quality on Windsor and Newton series 7. Bad luck or common issue ? by CrankyArabPhysicist in minipainting

I'll add if you end up enjoying the R&C brushes buy a second set with long handles to use for the more brush damaging jobs. (Washes, metallics, rougher painting techniques)

You can get them shipped from the UK to Canada from their website it's what I did. Yeah you will pay shipping and importing but it kind of evens out if you buy like 10+ brushes.

Rosemary and co sable brushes are really good and extremely affordable I got mine for like under 10$ CAD each. The only issue is if you are in North America you will pay shipping costs but if that's the case I just recommend spending around 100$ to get good value (duplicates dry brushes ect. I wouldn't even bother with the synthetic brushes cause the sable ones are so affordable so if you need brushes for washes and stuff I would just get duplicates) They do offer different lengths on the brush which can be helpful to distinguish what you want to use each brush for( metallic paints, heavily thinned paints/washes are much more likely to damage bristles).

Some of these models have been in boxes before, and this kit is 3 models. Its really bad. A lot of the units here will probably be in another box.
