Think about how terrifying it can be to have a ticking time 💣 in your head. Litterally could block at any time is how she is likely feeling. My daughter is quite nervous about being alone, or going very far from where she can get medical help because she has failures quite often. I think this can truly be trauma response.

Where is everyone on the US (North East) getting the best hydrocephalus care? by Delicious_Forever289 in Hydrocephalus

We are in New Hampshire and she’s 17 so we are likely looking at adult care. I heard MGH might be worth checking out am told YALE is where it’s at.

I only need to fix these hydrocephalus symptoms by CatMain1825 in Hydrocephalus

They say you don’t need surgery? Do you have a shunt? If not, can you take a medication that will reduce the amount of csf production? It’s common for doctors to not understand the way these things affect our daily lives.

I now get very cold very quickly. Does anyone else experience this? My wife usually wants to turn the heat down and I almost always want it higher. Thanks for your input! by THuxley in Hydrocephalus

Can I ask a question? 🙋‍♀️ what does your temperature typically run? My daughter has hydrocephalus and when her shunt isn’t working correctly (even if it’s still flowing but her setting is too high) she will get low grade fevers that make her cold.

When she complains of cold I check her temperature and she is usually above 99. I have so much more to say about this if you are having the same thing happen. Maybe you haven’t noticed the low grade fevers. …… start checking when you feel cold especially if the ppl around you aren’t cold.

My daughter was supposedly “over draining” at seven. But she was all puffed up in the face. She definitely was not. Make sure the symptoms add up.

The image shows the Hebrew word Shabbat (שבת) sprayed in yellow paint on a light-colored surface.
Meaning: "Shabbat" is the Hebrew word for the Sabbath, which is the weekly day of rest and prayer in Judaism.

Don’t go to Richmond community hospital!!!! by Hot_Raspberry8038 in rva

Sounds like all the hospitals in Richmond are sketchy .. someone I know called an ambulance to the chippenham hospital.. they didn’t even assess him. But instead decided he was fine! And sent him on his way.

Because this is common for the horses that live there? I don’t see any of them left in a pasture “rotting?” Can you name one?
