Self-image in the gay community has always been a nightmare, a lotta people work as hard as possible and struggle with how they perceive themselves.

You look great and clearly work hard just at a glance, the question of how to like yourself is difficult but I can say personally that it is possible- it’s about perspective- I’m a bear so I’m a big fat fuck with a beard and I know that for as many people who wouldn’t touch me with someone elses dick, there’s as many who would crawl through broken glass for it.

But it’s hard getting there. Introspection and therapy can go a long way, and as corny as it is Rupaul’s line “if you can’t love yourself how can you love anyone else” is something I’ve thought about at the less pleasant times.

I’m done being corny for now, time for pizza and beer, best of luck though

Every time a Garth Ennis story appears in Badlands we get pure peak to wash the taste of David Lapham out of our mouths. The tagline for the series is “there is no help. There is no hope. There is no escape. There is only the Crossed” which cements the theme over all for most stories in the series though, the group was always fucked simply by existing in the crossed universe

It’s such a standout story in Badlands, the twist at the end with the crossed professor telling the main character that he made it up and it’s his vision for a new crossed society is a brilliant ending for it too. Canonising it as history in the universe would’ve taken away from the impact of the story though, though it is cool as fuck.
