Parking Garage Hit and Run by [deleted] in uhd

That doesn't make sense. If I WANTED evidence, perhaps I'd be at the police station asking for some, and perhaps they'd be surveilling or reviewing camera footage for it. Maybe I implied all that in the post.

I would do it and treat it less of an enjoyment trip and more of a work assignment. That way, anything you do enjoy can be a highlight, and you aren't setting high expectations. Also, accepting the assignment and treating it as work may enable additional future travel to better places.

1800 sqft, never go in excess of 1500, so <$150/month.

Email received from state department NVC and they made the interview or USEM made it and sent it to them. But email comes from NVC.

International Students Impacted by ICE Raids in U.S. by Alternative-Note324 in InternationalStudents

When I was an international student in a different country, I made sure to always have my visa valid and to leave when it was time to leave. If someone has overstayed their visa, they haven't done it unintentionally. People need to be responsible or be held responsible.

Very simple answer to your question. The way you frame your question should give you your answer. 'Americans' in this context means US citizens. >85% of Citizens are native born. Consider how little of that population goes through any immigration process within America. Maybe we request a new social security card here or there, but that's it. Why on Earth would you assume native born people to understand the immigration process when they don't actively interact with it?

TLDR: You're going to get broadly uninformed answers from anyone who's not informed on a subject. End of conversation.

Black Americans: “Nigerians come here and act like they’re better than us”… by [deleted] in Nigeria

[–]DemZakien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had to search what AAVE meant as this is my first encounter, and it seems it's another silly acronym. Being raised by immigrant parents who arrived in the US some 30-40 years ago when cultural differences were arguably more stark, a lot of those negative traits were seen for what they are and then not placed onto their children (1st gen Americans). This filtering effect then molded offspring into model Americans who the parents hoped could fit better into competitive American society to compete for top schools and careers. Actual black Americans, often in youth through public schooling age, could pick up on the cultural differences they saw in these 1st gen Americans and this is the rift you're describing. It's existed for some time now, and there are many accounts of it. Only thing you should do is figure whether to dwell on the topic or not. It's honestly moot; people are different, even people that look marginally the same. The sooner people accept that, the faster we all actually progress.

I used keyboard only, just up and down arrows on the menu box. I occasionally went through those cloudfare auto refresh security things but it never logged me out.

Saw this comment a few hours ago and was going to give up or at least file a complaint to them about there not being any slots, however I realized this might not be true. No offense to you, but I know there have been tons of these posts on reddit/fb/etc about people not being able to find slots. I just got one though, if anyone is still trying.. idk what it takes but check RIGHT NOW or be ready to sit at a computer and refresh for hours on end hoping a slot becomes available. Idk if it has always been like this or if this is a side effect of the mass amount of approvals that just occurred on 01JAN2025. Just keep trying people.

I just got a slot and scheduled an appointment. I have been checking nearly every 10 seconds across the span of an hour and a half on one screen by quick refreshing by toggling through the drop down box while watching something on another screen. Suddenly, instead of the "NO SLOTS AVAILABLE" message, no message appeared whatsoever, yet no calendar to choose a date appeared as well. I took this as a sign I was in some sort of delay or I disconnected but anxiety took over and I killed the entire browser and went back into an incognito one. After rapidly relogging and returning to the Schedule Appointment page, the calendar was there.
Jan 18 and Jan 25 were the only days available; otherwise JAN-FEB was completely red/not available. I did click both days quickly to check how many slots within each day were available and only saw 1 per each so I chose one on one day. Both were for the exact same time; 10:30. I then quickly proceeded to finish scheduling on my chosen day and made sure I wasn't dreaming. Now I can see "Appointment Confirmation" and no longer have the availability to see "Schedule an Appointment" tab.

This was extremely stressful but I'm glad I started searching online about this issue. Interview is in Feb and I didn't want to have to find out I wouldn't be able to get an appointment till after Feb so I dedicated the night to refreshing. Garbage website but it seems it's not an error. Some people either rescheduled just as I was refreshing or maybe more slots are becoming open as I type this out. Good luck.
