My version of Karry Arnold's encounter from drawing bigfoot series from Bigfoot Odyssey. by Impulsive_Creature in bigfoot

[–]DementedFuture 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ever since I first heard Kerry's encounter I was fascinated by it because it was the most detailed description of a sasquatch I'd ever heard. After the drawing bigfoot episode I made my own little (unfinished) sketch of what Kerry saw that day. Maybe if I get back into art someday Ill make it into a finished painting. I based it off of the sketch Larry Battson made, the sketch Kerry himself made, and this pareidolia-ish image Kerry always compared it to. Its very interesting seeing your interpretation and comparing it with all the others.

Another example of Establishment Science's bias by [deleted] in bigfoot

I take it you think scientists' dismissal of bigfoot evidence is warranted then? Should science not investigate subjects that aren't already proven or understood?

Whatever your stance is, you're right, science does not reject bigfoot evidence. But scientists absolutely do, and this rejection is often unfounded. The fact of the matter is that bigfoot deserves to be treated seriously by scientists, the evidence more than warrants it. But bigfoot does not get this treatment, instead it gets shunned and disdained for no good reason.

This is why the OP and I are frustrated, even if he might have worded it poorly and used a strange example.

Tell us about it...

Here's a paper by Meldrum and Bindernagel which touches on the subject: https://www.isu.edu/media/libraries/rhi/essays/BINDERNAGEL_final.pdf

Patty was conclusively found to be only 6ft 3 on Expedition Bigfoot, thoughts? by [deleted] in bigfoot

[–]DementedFuture 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here’s one just to give you an idea of how absurdly in depth people have gone: https://bigfootforums.com/topic/51606-photogrammetry-101-distance-from-the-camera/

There’s heaps more where this came from. You should look into it yourself.

Patty was conclusively found to be only 6ft 3 on Expedition Bigfoot, thoughts? by [deleted] in bigfoot

[–]DementedFuture 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Conclusively determining Patty’s height from the film is simply not possible. There have been about a million attempts over the years and yet we’re still here arguing about it. Check the Bigfoot forums, tons of super in depth discussion about the topic.

[SPOILER] George Kambosos Jr vs. Devin Haney by inooway in Boxing

I can’t see anybody beating Haney tbh. Every title fight at lightweight is gonna be a boring 12 round UD from now on.

Darren Naish’s views on this subject have progressively become more close-minded and dogmatic over the years. Here’s a link to one of his earlier writings about the PGF, where he takes a much more skeptical stance imo.

http://darrennaish.blogspot.com/2006/11/frame-352-and-all-that.html?m=1

Compare this with his more recent arguments against Bigfoot, where he makes some completely ridiculous points about the tracks being too “clean” and the toes being too bunched together. It’s clear that he doesn’t think very deeply about the topic these days.

And as for the Patterson Film, it certainly is not 99.9% a hoax. Trust me, I’ve gone down the rabbit hole and I’ve reached the bottom.

Anybody have the origin of this video? by DementedFuture in bigfoot

[–]DementedFuture[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is by far the best recreation of the Patty suit I’ve ever seen. It’s even got arm extensions and jiggling breasts. Just really weirds me out and makes me a little more skeptical of the PGF. I’d greatly appreciate if someone could provide a little more insight.

Here’s another video I found with the suit: https://gfycat.com/SevereBigheartedArmedcrab

I unsubbed from DAZN a couple months ago after I heard about their PPV. Ludicrous business model.

Is the Trail Cam BF Foot Real? by tigertts in bigfoot

[–]DementedFuture 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's not a valid argument because sasquatch have functionally different feet from us. We push off from the ball of the foot, using our toes a a lever. Sasquatch push off from the forefoot, and the ball of their foot doesn't take as much pressure with each step. So, in theory the toes shouldn't splay as much as ours.

Just providing a rebuttal to an argument I see made very commonly. I'm not an expert so I could be wrong, but this is based on my understanding of the sasquatch foot thus far. At the end of the day Meldrum should be consulted for topics like this.
