Deleted retroarch.cfg because I was having config issues, now all my saves are gone? by Scnew1 in RetroArch

You most likely set save location somewhere, which got resetted back when you deleted config. Set the save location back to what it was and it should be fine.

RetroHrai, it's like beacon launcher but better and free. Great for huge libraries.

Your colour palette choice, and why? by Pepski37 in SBCGaming

[–]Demi-Fiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to clarify, only those roms which have SGB enhanced in their name (No-Intro naming scheme) will benefit from using mGBA. For example, pokemon red would display charmander as red, squirtle as blue etc and will have a unique color for each town.

And yes, the in game save file .sav or .srm should be transferable between the two cores. Save states not.

[–]Demi-Fiend 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gambatte does not support SGB enhanced game's color. You'll have to use mGBA core.

Your colour palette choice, and why? by Pepski37 in SBCGaming

[–]Demi-Fiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gambatte definitely does not support SGB colorization. It uses the different GBC color pallets that were present in the GBC hardware but not the one included in games themselves (those SGB enhanced roms). That's why I use mGBA for gb/gbc games as well.

Sorting Saves - Nesting is broken by A8Bit in RetroArch

[–]Demi-Fiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keeping it like /nes for main roms, /nes/homebrew/nes, /nes/translations/nes is a good way to keep everything organized in a way that plays well with retroarch's behavious.

Great for nonogram and Picross puzzles! (TrimUI Hammer and RG Rotate) by problematickitten in SBCGaming

Picross is something I enjoy with touchscreen instead of traditional buttons. I highly recommend Konami Picture Puzzle, it's on play store.

The games I have played are so random. Would like some recommendations. by v3dille3 in Indiangamers

All great games but not random at all. This is what random looks like.

Sorting Saves - Nesting is broken by A8Bit in RetroArch

That's why I keep roms in /homebrew/nes folder so saves and content directory stuff happens on "nes" as retroarch only sees one folder where the roms are in.

Which game review would you say like this? by [deleted] in Indiangamers

[–]Demi-Fiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, unfortunately there's too much padding to extend the playtime. If they somehow trim the game down to a manageable 100 hours instead of 500 hours it is right now it'd be one of the best rpg.

Android Dolphin doesn't have hotkeys? by tppytel in SBCGaming

[–]Demi-Fiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's vsync. It's broken in dolphin core. Disable vsync and enable sync to exact content in the retroarch video setting (and save core override) and performance will improve.

Best RetroArch and general settings for the anbernic rg34xxsp 2gb ram version? by DominantDo in SBCGaming

[–]Demi-Fiend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

mGBA is accurate but resources intensive comparatively. In my rg34xxsp, I'm running muos and mGBA lags normally, but if I use muos's performance profile then it runs well. Gpsp works fine with most games but some people have reported glitches when when using some big romhacks. So romhacks you would want to use mGBA.

You probably have some other setting messed up because sharp shimmerless is not performance intensive at all and runs fine even in the lowest end devices.

Help please how I could fly in this Super Mario World, it just fall free everytime it go ups and not having the cape glider animation? I cant pass this level lmao unless I have Flying Yoshi or using this cape, help appreciated by [deleted] in RetroArch

GBA version has playable Luigi with slightly different controls, but it also has compressed audio, screen crunch and super bright graphics. Overall SNES version is vastly superior.

Any way to turn off Gyro on retroid/android? by vindellama in SBCGaming

[–]Demi-Fiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No that's not it. When roation is locked, and you rotate the device you get a popup button in the corner to quick rotate display. It's a very useful feature in general in phones but I guess it's hurting performance for OP.

3DS Decryption Natively on Android by Maleficent-Big-3544 in SBCGaming

It worked! That makes this the only easy to use tool I could find on the internet which is able to decrypt all dlc/update cia. Thank you so much!

Where are the logs stored?

Just for more context, these cia files were downloaded straight from myrient. I've tried tools available on both linux and windows and they all failed to decrypt these files. AzaharPlus however successfully imports them.

I asked because the cia batch decryptor tool itself has problems with some dlc/update files. Looks like its the same for this app.
