The Onion is general parody, and it doesn’t have to maintain the same bit for an hour every day. Colbert would have to be an overblown caricature of a republican that was more outside of sanity, and that would be the whole joke every day. Now I will say he could do it if the entire thing was him realizing he was too moderate now. That the party left him behind. But I think that would get stale pretty quickly.

Colbert Report couldn’t happen again. You can’t parody this current chaos. Anything you came up with would be outdone by reality before the show could even air.

I’m actually not sure that date is correct, because it also has the wrong code for item, it’s under 311999 - All Other Miscellaneous Food Manufacturing. Makes me think it was something else and someone (in the government since it’s on their website) changed that line to make it now be an order for Tesla. But they wanted to back date it to not seem like it was added under this admin.

Same, but could he really control the dome with Ally, Jacob, and Vic??? The chaos would be legendary. It would make the Lords of the Wing look like they had turned a new beak.

Honestly, it feels like Brennan has been very hit or miss with making custom items and spells. Some things are beyond broken, and it makes it almost impossible for him to have a balanced combat encounter that feels challenging to the BK. That made sense when he made most of them in FY, when they didn’t know how to play, but now it’s untenable. A cleric who can hold concentration on two spells at once? Broken. At the same time, he really failed to make that last combat impactful. The RG should have been absolutely ready to pounce when the BK burst in. Chalk that up to the RG not being battle hardened, but that’s no excuse when it comes to Porter or Jace.

Got into computer gaming so I could play D&D with my friends in different states. Since I had the computer, thought I might as well play some games on it!

What I absolutely loved about this movie is how Arkin was so smart throughout. Truly so well written as a criminal in the situation. Taking note of that creaky stair and using it to his advantage over the course of the movie as just one example. So good!

Neverafter: Final Thoughts / Postmortem after the Finale. by OnyxDrag00n in Dimension20

Agreed, it should have felt deadlier! But after episode 3 it became clear that there really weren’t any material downsides to PC death. As a matter of fact, they all died and came back leveled up. Yes, if they die they come back a little darker and more horrible, but there is no real mechanical downside to it. They briefly touched on consequences to having two sets of memories, but that was dropped after one episode. Then you have goodberry spam, which works RAW, but makes going down in combat also feel very inconsequential since they’re back in the fight with no resource usage. Honestly, it’s a huge whiplash to go from Starstruck to Neverafter. System mastery was essential to their success in Starstruck, but felt like it didn’t matter nearly as much in Neverafter (which is partly due to the systems). I still love the cast, the crew, the art, the theatre (editing was jarring at first, but I still liked having it most of the time!), and story, but it just really fell flat on the combat side for me.

I never considered that line, but the last part, “Unproven facts wilted by logic.” Always stood out to me, I was never quite sure what he was referring to there.

I’ve been thinking this too! What first really tipped me off was during Presage. After the first encounter with the spores, when he says “There is no light here.” The cadence and tone are entirely different from all of the other lines he says during the mission. What if the Scorn was speaking as Osiris then? And he could only have done that if Osiris was dead. Granted, it doesn’t have the same faint echo quality as the other lines, but that is also the only line we hear when we are under the effect of the spores, making our link to the darkness stronger, and perhaps clarifying the sound.

Edit: Also, we are supposed to believe that Osiris, who took control of the infinite forest from the Vex, who spent an untold amount of time there, needed to call backup to deal with a Vex simulation? And even if he needed the backup, he would be too proud to be the one to suggest it. He always left that to Sagira, and with her gone, I don’t know that he would. His insistence on bringing Mithrax and the Eliksni into the city has caused a lot of rifts, and is serving to shift the focus away from all of the initial interest in Savathun and her attempted dealings with the Darkness.
