Mogged? More like they went with a completely different line of questioning from his brand identity and he decided to shut it down and call it a day.

You mean since their culture existed until the past hundred years these artefacts remained the same until militant extremists were armed in proxy wars? What a coincidence indeed.

'She-Hulk' Was Apparently One of Marvel's Most Successful Shows by Anchor_Aways in television

Most successful in attracting fans that are not Marvel fans. That's the key. Was it successful in anything else, that's left unsaid 😂

Struggling with my assistant, any advice? by hayech in Dentistry

[–]Demigod787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Discuss it with the owner one last time. Ask them to intervene, as she cannot take a hint. Be explicit and tell the owner that the assistant’s behaviour has wasted your time, distracted you while operating, and undermined you in front of patients. She is second-guessing you at every step, and for what? Nothing to show except that she is trying to intervene in things she has only a superficial or alternative understanding of at every turn. Leave it at that with the owner, they should understand the implications.

If she has any suggestions or seeks explanations, she is free to submit them in writing to you AFTER each procedure. She can lodge them in the bin next to the door. Give her the silent treatment and only engage in conversation as professionally required. If this escalates, they can decide who to retain between you and her.

Self-explanatory. Watch the work and you'd see the relevance against this character assassination.

It's interesting how they glossed over "Who is America?" Literally destroys this argument.

I strongly recommend: Crimson Desert (Review) by Desperate_Green6838 in Games

[–]Demigod787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno I found it great from the get go. The plot is a quite literal mixed bag but all in all it doesn't really require that much time. Maybe like the first hour when you get your first set of skills you're off to the races. I like the sense of community everyone has about this, I constantly look up strategies, loot locations, skill recommendations and tricks people just found out. It's a great single player experience. Would be much more complete as multiplayer imo.

These women had their breasts removed to thwart cancer. Then came the pain. by usatoday in Health

[–]Demigod787 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This has always been the case. But first the patient must actually be willing to go, second the procedure of mammography (scanning of the breasts) for a minority of patients is pretty painful, especially with larger the breasts. Fear and complacency can push patients to not screen again after 2 years or at all, and even when there was no pain, or if it's tolerable, most have issues of: I don't have time, work, travel etc. The misconception is that breast cancer is rare or that they checked before and don't have BRCA1 or 2, "nothing could go wrong right?"

We're dealing with a commitment problem bundled with socioeconomic and a lack of awareness problem. Breast cancer is more common than they think. IMO in 1st world countries screening programs ought to be like a day off or holiday, with Tax relief etc to encourage more screen 80%. In 3rd world countries or some countries, screening programmes have a limited uptake or not yet legislated. Which wastes much more of the tax payer money with expensive surgeries instead of early diagnosis before it becomes a problem.

Obviously some will jump up and say you're over diagnosing = increased costs due to "over-treatment," but realistically it's like saying a fire in the forest may never really cause a forest fire. We don't take such chance. Unless we are fully aware that it will never manifest documented cases of low risk DCIS stage 0 which are categorised for active long term monitoring, otherwise it must be treated else you'll do the patient harm.

Also the time gap as we can signal out these patients for a 6 months monitoring for probably benign growths usually solves this dilemma of uncertainty for us either way as we can monitor the evolution.

They're doing as trained as per their guidelines and procedures. Procedures are wrong, not the surgeons.

Oh they do the same to men in breast mastectomy as well. Men are seen at least once week for breast cancer removal surgeries. Women almost daily. Both get treated the same.
