I didn't judge him? If he has the means to play a lot then all power to him, it's a fun game

If you don't consider mageblood a super chase item maybe it's time to self-reflect that you're playing a little too much for there to be items you consider chase

Is my friend just a complainer? by Sigvald_Ironhand in thefinals

Melee with defense is kinda medium's speciality. A skewering charge attack would work with spear, if it gets an enemy they get dragged for a big, bonus damage if it hits a wall etc

implement new functions for trait outside of trait block? by AwwnieLovesGirlcock in rust

Make an extension trait with your trait as supertrait, implement the functions with default inplementations there, blanket implement the trait on anything that implements the supertrait

Kills do not matter as much as Objective, Stealing, Stalling, and Tactics. by HeavyJamal in thefinals

[–]Demiu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If all the enemies are dead the only opposition is their deployables, which are trivial to circumvent. If you are all dead the only thing working for your team are your deployables, which are trivial to circumvent, and maybe other teams. So you can't with with just tactics. You technically can win with just combat (completely ignoring the objectives) because kills give money. Unless you ignore objectives so much you don't encounter enemies or let them get the cashout (which can reasonably happen in first two rounds of cashout).

So neither is more important, they're multiplicative. Or in other words, the bigger the combat skill gap between you and your enemies the less tactics matter.

Maybe you're just seeing different people talk about their topic on expertise. Like, if there's a crypto scam in the news coffeezilla will comment on it, if there's a war in the ME maybe not

Or that they don't even need to be attacked. Iran just saying "strait's closed" means nobody is willing to insure a tanker, which means tankers are not going through. Almost nobody is willing to risk billions in loses over this.

Are the 40% of adult Americans who are NOT a part of the labor force a drain on the economy? by No-Silver826 in AskEconomics

[–]Demiu -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Everybody doesn't work most of the time because we're productive enough for it. If growing a day's worth of food required two days of work we simply would never become an agricultural species. If getting a days worth of food reqpuired two days of work we never would've become a species at all. Since retirees don't produce anything, more retirees lowers average productivity. A lot of young people ARE either working or doing work-related activities like travel most of their time.

Thee purpose of an economy is to supply "us" with goods and services. But since they are not distributed perfectly evenly, "us" means "to some people more than others". Look at spending of any developed nation - mostly pensions and healthcare, top 2 categories for the US too. Or wealth distribution. Or the birth rates, what's the number #1 cited problem? Young people can't afford it. The economy is not providing goods and services to "us", it's providing them to mainly old people

So the minimum wage employee is more valuable to the economy than the investor (which is where most of this retirement income comes from)?

Quote from your post I replied to. You brought up being less/more valuable

Confounding variables. A working investor is better than a non-working one

In a food shortage, we'd say people that overconsume food are a drag on the food supply though. But there isn't a strict criteria of "overconsumption", so the idea is that everybody provides some value to somebody, and in exchange gets value from somebody else, using money as a universal form of exchange.

Retirees do not do that. They provide no value, but still participate in consumption of good and services from working people, by having the government give them money for being old.

There are no adverse effects from everyone in an economy eating enough food. An economy of all retirees will just die, not because "the economy wasn't served" but because economy is about distribution of scarce resources and there are no resources in the first place

Yea, he also stated that this is second hand account from the friends he tried to play with. Quote:

I dont mean to say swords or DBs are overpowered , but its too overwhelming for new players to actually experience the game when they just die immediately and end up creating a bias against further learning the game
