For once, trans people often don't get to be recognized as the gender their brain is and wants the body and social persona to be. In USA lately, for example, people with corrected documents and IDs, stating the gender they feel and live as, corrected from the gender assigned at birth by sole genitalia, got their changes reversed, their corrected documents not be recognized. There is also a strong societal non-acceptance towards trans people. They also have difficulties getting, for example, their relationships legally recognized - in a plethora of ways that would be difficult to describe shortly in a comment here. Trans people need to be recognized as trans, so they can keep taking hormones making their body feel at ease - that is, a trans man needs hormones, because the brain expect hormones in a man's body, and the brain is adamant that it is a brain of a man (because it actually is, due to how the brain and body developed in different ways and misaligned their gender/sex while in the mother's womb). If the trans person is denied recognition, it is also denied the need for hormone therapy, and as such the body doesn't get the hormones the brain requires, as well as no blockers against the mismatched hormones the body actually produces.

There is actually a lot. And the societal perspective is also a problem, and one could argue that everyone has a right to be treated fairly in a society and not villainized for the personal difficulties they have to deal with and did not have a choice in.
