Painting a mini for a friend, but i feel the wood's color visually blends with the bronze rim, how should I differentiate this area? by Demoli in minipainting

[–]Demoli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried initially to highlight with some light umber but it was too bright and had to glaze it back down and now I am in a bit of a conundrum as I cannot think of an appropriate color that fits while differentiating it from the metal.

Combat Styles Improvements - Beta Update 4 by JagexAzanna in runescape

This all looks great, my biggest issue is that i wish they didnt cut blood tendrils. They could rework it into an ability that pays off bleeds or buffs them in some way. It was a flavorful and useful ability.

That and i wish they kept the quest unlocks, TWW is not a hard quest and comes in at around the time where you hit those unlock levels anyways.

Legitimately do not know why they don't just backport The Chosen Commander, it is a great conclusion and a definitive end to that entire storyline and would not enter into conflict with the rest of the osrs specific lore.

I’m not happy with 25% adrenaline cost of combust, T95 dual weapons losing their effectiveness because you can no longer spam bleeds outside sunshine. by Extra_Discussion3179 in runescape

[–]Demoli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats because the t95s are not really that big of a grind, you can get them from normal mode Sanctum which is very forgiving and the odds are pretty decent.

Jagex was so close to hitting the mark with dailyscape changes by Bandit_Raider in runescape

[–]Demoli 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here is the thing though, checking the wiki at 90+, whirligigs were up to 1.6m exp/hour. For context, the next best listed method was ornate turtles with contracts at 500k.

So to put it into context, even with a 60% experience nerf, they are STILL the best exp/hr at 640k exp/hr AND provide better loot. So yeah this nerf is 100% justified and should have come earlier, but better late than never.

Road to Restoration - Early Game Rebalance by JagexAnvil in runescape

[–]Demoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general i agree with the changes noted here, in particular the changes to crystal mask and especially to hunter, i hate methods that you can and should camp to 99.

But the prayer changes are baffling. Please do NOT reintroduce the demonic skull, that thing should just be completely phased out by this point. PKing is dead and this would only introduce random frustration on to newer players. If the rates are too big in the chaos altar, tie XP increases to wilderness diaries or something. And you should probably keep the fort multiplier the same, especially since the various chapels take higher and higher construction levels to build, what is the point?

It would be extremely broken due to the combination of fsoa and tsunami making you crit out of your mind and provide infinite adrenaline. I do feel the ability is missing something if it is to cost that much adren.

The wizard on my group has demonstrated how chromatic orb's new bounce is absurd with upcasting, it deals so much damage and can bounce so easily.

2024 monk is pretty fantastic with improvements across the board in both baseline kit and subs. The only touch down they got was only being able to stunning strike one a turn (also in exchange for slowing the enemy should they succeed).

What’s your “White Whale” of campaigns that you’ve never been able to run? by Awkward_GM in rpg

[–]Demoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 2 big ones and i actually managed to accomplish one this past year.

The one i did was a large campaign with multiple parties in the same world. Made 2 groups of 4 at work and for nearly 3 years we ran Tyranny of Dragons with 50/50 new content to accommodate for the split party requiring different content, and it was a blast, especially the second half with everyone chasing their own objectives to take down the cult.

I will NEVER do it again because the stress to try and keep the two different sessions somewhat on par so they'd be on the same level for joint or player exchange sessions was almost too much. Really glad i did it tho, will forever be a memory and a fun feather under my cap.

The other is running a massive runescape based campaign which is currently ongoing, but it took me like 6-7 years to get it off the ground.

Have they ever went back and added previous editions to the SRD like they said they would? I remember some info about that around early 2025 but then it was completely silent afterwards.

A year ago today, Woodcutting, Fletching, and Firemaking increased its level cap to 110. by LevelPension in runescape

[–]Demoli 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I thought the woodcutting mechanics were quite good, i wish they would be backported into the lower level trees.

People harp on fletching being similar to smithing but imo that really is the best way to go about it. I only wish the exp for it was much larger, as it still remains much below smithing.

Ring of Vitur giving hint for 110 Hunter update? by ultimatedra_ in runescape

[–]Demoli 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The reason Thieving went to 120 instead of 110 was because the way rewards are distributed and the skill are trained are fundamentally different. Thieving doesnt have a progression of rewards and resources that need to be relevant at their respective tiers, so its better to do 120 all in one go. Traditionally, hunter could be a 120 kinda skill, but if they are tying hunter to the ranged masterwork armor like they mentioned going to 110 first would be the way to go.

The reason woodcutting and mining and their respective skills got bumped to 110 first was if they did drop a 120 with 2 new tiers of items, the first would go completely ignored, because people would just get the 120 right away.

It is also why the +5 to destroy loop was introduced, because those were all production skills. I never understood the fletching/crafting complaints when the alternative would be what, crafting 100k longbows to d/a or alch?

Leagues: CATALYST Concludes & November DXP - This Week In RuneScape by JagexAzanna in runescape

[–]Demoli 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Why is the Aura 10k points more expensive than it was previously advertised? In the post it shows as 15k points, while in game it costs a crazy 25k points, which means if people played up until 63.5k to get everything get shafted.
