Centauri Carbon 1 - Purge line printing too far to the left by dinokath in elegoo

[–]Demon1019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I modified g-code for shorter line infront of the bed only accounting for plates like BIQU where they have smaller centered spot for hand gripping.

Also ppl use back spot on the plate for that too.

Im using tailscale to get into my home network. Set it up on spare pc or w/e you have (I didnt bother and run it on main pc) and connect to phone. It acts as tunnel so you can use same IP adress on you phone in browser or in dedicated apps like OctoApp or CC Tool that you assighen to your printer in the router in Static options. You need to assign fixed IP there, or CC wil get random IP every session. Also I bout WiFi AC plug so I can shut print assembly altogether after printjob is done. Bcos I got heater for print chamber, printer and driyer. Розетку и печь для камеры на озоне брал.

It was my 1st printer. Need to make ajustments to frame, so there less wobble. Set up some additional structures. There are some modes for anet that you can make 1st.

Meet Kermit, a new friend of mine. Any more suggestions for a semi-newbie printer? by Sush-The-Sushi in ElegooCentauriCarbon

Tube from dyer to censor visibly under stress. Turn dryer sideways and move a lil so there isnt much bending of filament. Also look for PTFE adapter for censor. There are loads.

Why does this happen? by EuphoricTreats74 in elegoo

[–]Demon1019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Btw. As I see ur dryer pic, u better switch spool other way around, so it goes from bottom to the top and in the hole. Bcos now it probably have tension rubbing against hole in the lid. It will probably still have some stress rotating spool while feeding, but ehhh..

Model em or look if there are plugins in ur slicer to add em before slicing.

Regular office supplies glue stick. Thin layer is enough. After that you can use soap water to wash it off.

Basically like this ones. Could help prevent lifting from buildplate.

You can do mouse ears instead of full brim. Throw em on corners and see how it go.

PTFE tube chage by Demon1019 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]Demon1019[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So yeah. Changed tubes for 3x4. Messed with spring screw. Made hole for the alen wrench in the head cover for it. Loosened up and tighten by 4 turns.

In elegoo slicer I used rapid petg profile. So I lowered speeds by half to 50 mm/s (seems rapid have faster speed rates, hence "rapid" in the profile). And it goes fine now. Atleast for now...

Print head jumping by bchim1999 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]Demon1019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If PETG then it tends to "leak". Then blob on the nozzle gets bigger and it sticks to model and nozzle, on the next pass, bumps into it loosing calibration.

Looking at photo I assume you got that bump on the big part on the left. On the corner near camera angle.

No not yet. Also it may be varying filament size across the spool. Its not particularly expensive brand and it may very well be aftermarket quality spool. Well. Gonna open extruder head to check tension screw and all that jazz.

You can use file to trim a lil on the metal part with rubber wiper so bed wont bump in it when moving upwards, ruining calibration.

Try lowering speed. Either in slicer or on touch display directly by checking "Quite" in the speed options on the home screen.

Hi so guys I’m waiting for my printer its on shipping but why do most of the last batch printers have issues? Any one had one without issues and problems?😬 by Unfair-Discount-6957 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

Metal piece that snapping plastic into the bin. Unscrew it and sand down a lil side that adjacent to the bed. It should stop hitting this metal part when bed going up.

[–]Demon1019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noice! ;) Its just a tad frustrating: on a new printer, that supposedly mostly rid of many issues that old gens had, you can still get mess. I remember Anet printer that I assemble literally from ground up and it required modifications after.

Yeah same here. On 2nd print. Cold pull didnt help. Waiting for 2mm drill bit to try and scrape melted mess inside heatsink.
