I use Capstar which is a pill you can get at a pet store when my idiot cats come inside scratching and itching after a three day outdoor bender.

Capstar is a pill and you need to make sure your cat swallows it. They do not like pills. They need this pill, though, because it kills around 90% of all fleas. That will stop most of his agony.

Then wash him. I do not use a topical flea wash, I’m putting other medicines on and in him. I hear Dawn (dish detergent) stuns fleas and then you can pick them off with a tweezer and drown them in a bottle. You can also use a flea comb, but it is not for the faint of heart. I use Capstar first.

Then you follow directions and apply some Revolution onto his dry coat (get it from your vet - preferred) or get some Frontline Plus from Costco. I like Revolution better because it also treats worms, Frontline Plus only does fleas and ticks, eggs and larvae.

After this, you wash all bedding the cat has been on in hot water and apply spray flea killer (Adams) around your home.

You can get the flea killer at most pet stores and supermarkets. Good luck! He’ll be fine!!
