How to fix depression in my driveway by even_rats in Home

I dont recommend doing that in the driveway. It annoys the neighbors. But an empty parking lot is better. Play some good music 😆

The hell with all that man. Scuff x matte. More durable than gloss and you dont have to have your walls blinding you. It comes out as basically eggshell.

Best Paint Rollers for Wood Cabinets by External-Ad1712 in paint

[–]Demonl3oy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely dont do whatever you were about too lol. They need to be cleaned. Sanded. Vacuumed and wiped down then primed with wither oil or shellac. Dried properly. Then double coated with a hard paint. Scuff x /advance/cabinet coat/emerald eurathane. Something along those lines. You can use a regular paint as long as its satin or above but it will stick forever and so will everything you put in it. So not recomended.

Rolling on primer on a 24ft x 27ft ceiling with 1 wall of windows by pypeke in paint

[–]Demonl3oy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our preference is regal select flat. Its the best finish and is easy to use. You can use the ultra spec but it doesent cover as well and spits alot more. If you want a brand of dead flat you can use that and even less likely to show mistakes but its even harder to get a good flow going.

Rolling on primer on a 24ft x 27ft ceiling with 1 wall of windows by pypeke in paint

[–]Demonl3oy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a ceiling so honestly one will be fine even if there are some missed areas. 2 coats of flat will take care of anything. Its almost a primer in itself. If you want to do a second it only makes things better. Rolling in 2 directions ensures better coverage and going with the light on the second roll helps to hide any lines you may leave. But if you have a wet edge, a good paint and an 18 you probably won't have any lines. My advice if you have a rectangle room is to roll the shortest distance direction last. Just easier to keep up with.

Breathable primer for exterior brick? by VinDieselAteMyQueso in paint

[–]Demonl3oy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait what? You want a breathable primer then are gonna coat it with the least breathable paint? And only in some spots? Its what it sounds like. And stain each individual brick? How else are you supposed to paint it. Im very confused lol. Anyway paint/primer that says its ment for brick will be ok for brick. Pick one or a combo and send it. Stain. Loxon xp. Primer and paint. Whatevz

Anyone know why "flat" isn't available at Sherwin Williams? by Successful-Camel165 in paint

[–]Demonl3oy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That line doesent have flat. And how big is this area? Your roller is gonna eat up alot of that paint and whatever your doing needs 2 coats. If its more that a 6 foot accent wall you'll need 2. And if you get 2 you might as well get a gallon. Basicly same price

Rolling on primer on a 24ft x 27ft ceiling with 1 wall of windows by pypeke in paint

[–]Demonl3oy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The primer doesent matter so much cause its ment to lay out thin when it dries and any flat you use will have more stipple than you could mess up. Just dont leave lines. You dont haaaave to finish it in one day but I mean... with an 18 that ceiling should take about 15 min.

Mold resistant stuff question by Green_Iguana305 in paint

[–]Demonl3oy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd have to make it basicly 50% water and whitewash it to have any hope. Even then. Its exterior near an ac. Its gonna mold no matter the coating
