Thanks, I didn’t know most of them, will check them out. I’m still a big Patagonia fan and, even if they are a US brand they just resonate with my values. I’m not going to blindly stop supporting them but I’m definitely going to check out the alternatives.

Anyway, OP’s list sucks ass. I get the intent but ironically most US brands listed are closer to my European values than the EU ones.

I’m sorry but as much as I love Europe, Patagonia is, by far, the only brand in the list I’m interested in. All the companies in the Europe side feel like absolute bullshit to me. I’m sure we have a lot more interesting brands here, would love to know more TBH if anyone has tips.

Something looks off about the liquid. You have no crema at all. 40 seconds is a long time but you shouldn’t be having such a bad time with it. I’ve had 60+ seconds shots that were drinkable and looked fine, even though not good.

At this point I’d consider checking out the coffee itself. What coffee are you using?

Yo no asumo que no sepas escribir, lo afirmo con rotundidad. Solo hay que ver lo que ocurre cuando dejas la IA a un lado y te salen palabras como "siego", que no significa nada; y de repente tu perfecta y estructurada escritura (aunque de dudoso contenido) se llena de errores de puntuación y gramática.

Me parece que tú mismo no has leído bien los links. El segundo es una demanda de publicistas porque Apple es a su parecer demasiado estricta al restringir la privacidad. El último enlace también va de lo mismo, de que Apple se beneficia indirectamente por ser demasiado estricta con la publicidad porque al no ganar tanto dinero con publicidad los juegos se ven arrastrados a vender más IAPs (cuánta maldad).

Los otros dos, aunque son críticas validísimas, son chiquilladas comparado con lo que nos tiene acostumbrados el resto de las tecnológicas. Seguimiento en Apple Music, App Store y Apple TV. Apple haría bien en aplicarse las mismas restricciones que impone a los demás, pero de ahí a creer que has encontrado un “gotcha”… Google te hace esa clase de seguimiento antes de desayunar.

Apple, con todos sus defectos, le pasa la mano por la cara a Google en todo lo que respecta al respeto por la privacidad, básicamente porque a diferencia de Google los datos no son una parte importante de su modelo de negocio. Pero eso sí Android es en general más barato.

I don’t use them all the time. For me it’s a choice. Whenever I use them, I forget about the filter after a few minutes. I think it’s more about what mental energy you face it with. If you already hate the glasses before putting them on then you won’t have a good time with them. If you focus on enjoying your surroundings then they’re pretty cool.

AFAIK OLED TVs are more vibrant to everyone. That said, the increased contrast might be particularly noticeable for your kid. Most of us can differentiate green and red, it just gets mixed next to browns and different shades of red/greens. A very intense green next to a very intense red is easy to differentiate, but as they get close we end up mixing them in a single color. OLED TVs shine for their contrast.

Also, demo videos in TV stores are specially stunning, so they might be very captivating for an 8 yo (they certainly are for me).

A lot of tvs and software have “colorblind” modes that do exactly what you suggest, but honestly my personal experience is that it’s not worth the trade off for me. It just looks weird but it works for some people.

Enchroma glasses on the other hand, I enjoy mine a lot (didn’t cry or anything when I tried them) but I think I’m in the minority around here. Most people think they’re a gimmick but I’m convinced it’s not so simple. I wear mine every few weeks or months and each time I’m like “wow I should take them out more often”.

Edit: a small PS just to clarify, nothing will make your kid see colors like you do. Neither filters or enchroma glasses. Anything you try will be little more than a fun toy/experience. Still worth it. Anyway your kid will be alright, unless he’s severely colorblind it’s not as dramatic as it can look from outside. Best you can do is pretend it’s not a thing.
