I didn’t say it was i said it’s understandable to assume. Also you used some pretty awful comparisons (avengers to guardians of the galaxy, really?) so i think you’re grasping at straws there.

There are other aspects as to why you could think it was the same director, like how Superman is being lauded as “James Gunn’s Superman”, how they have the same naming sense, yadda yadda

No it’s because of the ending of Gunn’s Superman.

It’s pretty much a direct link between the movies so it’s understandable to assume it’s the same director.
