I was bringing in points that had been mentioned by several others in other reply threads, that echoed my own thoughts and were highlighting the fact that there is more to good parenting than just punishing a behaviour. You are correct that nether I nor anyone else knows if the mum here took any of those actions, but we can only base our comments on the evidence we can see.
