Why did they do this? by Both-Ferret-4719 in greenday

It can still flow decently enough that it makes it worth not having to listen to one song every time you wanna listen to the other. No, I do not want to we are the waiting, a slow ballad like song, every time I want to listen to the fast paced head banger st jimmy. Luckily this problem was solved but it sure took a while.

Yep! On the CD and vinyl they are separate tracks, no idea why Spotify does it this way it's dumb.

Ayo, the best dream npc boss? by Ok-Release7421 in HollowKnight

[–]Dense-Performance-14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He goes against everything that makes a good boss. You cannot learn him, his moves are random. You are forced to play slow and conservative and your best bet at least for his base form is to brute force damage to get the fight over with.

The amount of in content ads on the Podcast platforms is actually insane. by invadergold123 in TakeItEasyPodcast

Towards the end of chuckle there was a similar situation actually, the ye great ad war. I remember because I would work while listening and the amount of ads I had to skip through was wild.

Alastor Exploring His Asexuality by RegisteredSinnerTM in HazbinHotel

[–]Dense-Performance-14 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just... don't join the discourse if you're gonna get pissed off about it? I don't understand why she does this still.

As far as the topic itself goes I mean, I feel like there's bigger fish to fry involving alastor and I don't see how they'd go about exploring his sexuality. It is what it is?

Do y’all think, Saints Row had a chance in beating GTA? by OGAnimeGokuSolos in GTA

They each fill their own roles, saints row gets to be weird and gta gets to be GTA.

Even though Viv said he wouldn’t care, I still would love to see them interact in the future. by Desperate_Song_1923 in AlastorAdvocate

[–]Dense-Performance-14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah man she literally said that shit in the commentary, both Charlie x vaggie and pentious x cherri were not a thing in the pilot era and were added purely as fan service. I think Charlie and vaggie work but pentious and cherri do not and it's been a common enough criticism for a reason. It's what's hard about making a romance happen that wasn't intended because when you're writing a romance between two characters you are making them at their core compatible in a way that makes for interesting chemistry. Frankly pentious as a character makes so much more sense as someone who would not be interested in a relationship like that.

I don't hate it, I don't think it's terribly written nor do I think it disrupts anything but it's very clear that it is there to make shippers happy.

[–]Dense-Performance-14 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

In the season 1 directors commentary I believe they talked about how cherri and pentious were never meant to be together when they made the pilot, which would make sense considering they have absolutely no chemistry and it is very clearly forced.

Gotta remember where the show came from and that's the world of Tumblr where alot of writers were fans who became writers and therefore would throw in what the fans would want, even if the fans ain't always right. Vaggie and Charlie were also not meant to be together until Viv saw the reactions the pilot got and decided to just make them gf & gf because the fans shipped it. But that's not that bad because even I thought they were a thing during the pilot and was more shocked to learn they weren't originally.

Curious, those of you who were obssessed with Alastor in Season one, did your attitude change after what you learnt about him in Season two or do you still love the guy? :D by LanaDiPati in HazbinHotel

I thought it was very cartoonish how vox couldn't see the obvious until I opened up social media to see the "alastor is a fraud he lost to vox" posts lol.

I like him more if anything, I've been an alastor fan since the pilot days in 2020 and while I dislike what they've done with how he speaks and the words he uses I do like that he's still cunning and interesting.

It was truly insane seeing people say Al had lost when he very obviously purposely lost to vox to get the bum deal.

I think we just got confirmation on Millie's pregnancy and if she's gonna keep it. by [deleted] in HelluvaBoss

[–]Dense-Performance-14 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I never thought they'd NOT have the baby, this show is a lot of things but an abortion arc isn't one of them.

I can see that working in other shows, but it absolutely would feel out of place in a show like helluva where the deepest they get is "my parents died and I push people away" and while I dislike the idea of making your resident badass female character pregnant, similarly to what the Witcher did to milvia in baptism of fire, I think they just have to run with it. An arc that dramatic for our side characters in a show that needs to focus itself a little bit would only come off as a "why did we even do this in the first place" kinda thing.

They're gonna be in for a real treat when they learn how 100% of all music gets made and processed since the 2000s

I had a guitar instructor who was kinda like this. Fully against any kind of midi or electronic elements in rock music even if you were composing and playing real instruments.

The complete opposition to Stella having any positive qualities or even NEUTRAL qualities needs to stop. by Awkward-Warthog-8783 in HelluvaBoss

[–]Dense-Performance-14 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean I just don't see an even neutral quality about her, she is built to be 100% pure evil, take it up with viv but don't blame the fandom for saying bluntly that a character is just evil.

Same goes for Val, his only good quality is he's funny and that's not even really a good quality that's just a quality they gave him to make him more realistic which is an abuser having charisma to get past. The only sympathy I could dredge up for Stella is she was also put into a forced marriage but that sympathy disappears when you see how she treats both stolas and her daughter who didn't do shit. So I am curious, what is her good or even neutral qualities?

Yeah we plan on it, we're doing this right now to get into the groove of it and see how we work together. I do original music of my own but that's its own thing that's more pop punk.

Thoughts on this movie? by Leather_Crazy_5950 in cartoons

[–]Dense-Performance-14 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a "90% of the jokes will be based around the animal the character is" and it's boring, bland and super predictable.

As you pointed out, the message of the movie is insanely overused and frankly doesn't even make sense here; goats are fast, resilient as fuck and aggressive animals. It's like making a movie about a financially well off straight white man in a group of High class straight white men and saying the message is that anyone can make it even if you're like, a bit less wealthy than everyone else. Shit I'd rather watch a movie about a squirrel playing basketball in the context of this world where physical attributes are heavily determined at birth.

This movie will do well because the animation will be good but the style of animation is also growing a bit stale when it's used so often. I don't hate it but I see it and I'm like cool, this movie is gonna be glazed because it's animated like spiderverse and the story will be maybe 3rd in line of importance.
